Before After

My friends list

The day after the Day lol

Nice time with DD.  N came over in the morning then again at night.
DInner was Jenni-O turkey breast, jarred gravy, Stove Top stuffing, fresh sweet potatoes with SF maple syrup, fresh green beans turned into the best green bean casserole, rolls and wine.  Funny but it didn't seem like I ate much but I was so uncomfortable the rest of the night....I want to remember that feeling and never repeat it.
Today is anothe cook/freeze day like I wanted to cook massive amounts of food but it should be quick.  Told DD that we need to change to every other month.  My freezer is too full now lol
Will get out my WATP DVD's today and start my food log.

Happy 58th Turkey day!

I find it funny this morning that this is my 58th Thanksgiving...it sure doesn't sound like many, huh?  Today DD opted out of the Turkey Trot - 40 degrees but looked rainy although it never did rain.  And as always, I think next year I will do the Trot or at least the Mashed Potato Mile lol  I will make this a priorty for the coming year....run at least a 5K race just so I can say I did!  But of course I can't do it at this weight.  Tomorrow, which my be a HUGE mistake I'll weigh in....I have to have a starting point, don't I?
Dinner will be the usual....DD and I will get some exercise in....Wii and proably take the dogs for a walk.  Good for us

The day before the BIG day

I got a lot of shopping done yesterday then we went out to dinner to Olive garden- both got soup and salad then I ordered dessert - something I never do!  Where did that come from?
My plan (and I have to plan!) is to start next week by eating no starch at breakfast so no oatmeal, cereal or bread of any kind so lots of eggs dishes filled with veggies of all kinds.  Eggs always fill me up more anyway so it's a win win  Morning snack will be FF yogurt.  Lunch will be salad with grilled chicken or HB eggs or some kind of protein or a sandwich with the 90 cal slim breads and veggies galore - carrots, broccoli then fuit or occasionally a FF pudding cup.  HM low cal soup for the time btw getting home and dinner then dinner - protein (N trying to stay away from red meat so I'll limit it too), veggies, salad maybe and a starch like potato, sweet potato or brown rice.  Snack will be FF pudding with FF Cool Whip or a FF yogurt.
It looks good on paper so it's up to me to stick with it.
As far as exercise goes....my two cardio classes end the 2nd week in December so I'll finish those off.  I will begin walking during my 20 min break and then when I get home walk the dogs.
I CAN DO THIS!!!

So I was thinking....

............my "official" six month countdown doesn't start until 12/15 however, with that being said I will not go off on a tangent and eat everything in sight!  I know what to eat and how to exercise I just need to do it!  I am going to test out some new recipes especially for lunch.

Weight Be Gone

In a little more than 6 months I will be retiring after 31 years and I want to go into it healthy and happier and live a long long satisfying life   I have been carrying these extra unwanted pounds for longer than I care to mention and I always get sidetracked when I try to "diet" so I am taking a different approach.  Healthy low calorie and low fat with strict portion control is the way I will go and exercise exercise exercise much more than I do now.  Someone said losing weight is 80% food and 20% exercise so I have to get serious on both points.
