I'm down a total of 23 lbs this week. I'm so excited!!! I have not been as focused as I should be, and was off track for a few days during the last week. But I made sure I was doing my exercise no matter what. I was thinking the other day about how different my body feels just with losing 20 lbs. I can definitely tell the difference in my body and my energy levels have most definitely improved. I'm officially giving up the water aerobics. I went last Tuesday and was sick for the rest of the night!!! I'll stick to the walking, it suits me better. To anyone who is not a believer.....Water is your friend. I have found that when my body is properly hydrated, I do much better in general. Sometimes my body will feel hungry and I drink water and it cures the hunger pangs. I read once on a website that your body will sometimes react as if needs food when it really just needs water. I'm a firm believer in that now that I have seen it first hand. just stopping by to congratulate you on your weight loss. you are doing well. my mom cannot swim either and was taking water aerobics too. she started having anxiety attacks, needless to say she did not last long in that class. lol. i am a big fan of the elliptical machine. it is easy on the body and you burn some major caolries. when i started a few months ago, i would go real slow, now i give those skinny girls on the machine next to me a run for their money. lol. i too have learned to load up on water i drink it because calories are so precious, i refuse to waste them on drinks. i now know that some nights i will go to bed hungry and that's okay. keep up the great work!! kelly
Thanks so much for your encouraging words! I didn't think anyone was actually reading what I was writing! Sometimes writing it out helps me sort the information-there's just so much swimming around in my head that sometimes it's hard to separate it all! I would definitely appreciate it if you would continue to pray that I would be able to have the discipline it takes to restore my health and be the best servant to the Lord that I can be. I will definitely do the same for you! It looks like we have some similar weight loss goals-around the same amount to lose, similar goals, and both have God to lean to and learn from during this time. I look forward to reading your updates! And go you for all that working out! I can't wait until I can get back to the gym on a regular basis-I actually kinda like working out. I feel like I've accomplished something and I'm so proud when I know I've pushed myself. The only time I see real results is when I'm working out. I know you are putting a lot of effort into working out, and it shows! I'm truly proud of you!!!
