So I said I would weigh myself on 1 August, that's tomorrow. I'm really not looking forward to it.
Yesterday, I went to the gym after work. I did the following: 35 minutes on the eliptical; 28 minutes on the treadmill; and 37 minutes on the bike. I tell you having a TV on each of the machines sure gets me to workout longer!! It's hard to get off the machine during the middle of a show, so I usually just keep going until the show is over!
Later, at home, I also did 30 minutes with the weighted hula hoop, which is something I linked to in my last post. A couple of people said they can't hula hoop, but with the weighted hula hoop it is so much easier. Tatumsmom asked what my family thinks of me doing an hour on the hula hoop. Well, our family is very competitive, so we have challenges on who can go the longest, or do the most tricks, or use several hula hoops at once. If our family was on a reality TV show, we would be very entertaining!! We have two weighted hula hoops and two regular hula hoops. My youngest son, 7 years old, is the best at the tricks. He has a future in circus life! He can put them all four on at the same time and keep them going. He weighs nothing and can hold up 5 pounds of hula hoops!
Today is my last day at my current office. A couple of the girls are taking me to a Thai place for lunch. I already know that I'm not going to make good choices, but I'm going to skip my snacks today to compensate at least a little.....I haven't had Thai food in years. I can't wait!

Cool!
That's pretty cool that you do the hula as a family.
It was great to hear from you. I would def. suggest P90X.
It's very very hard but very rewarding. I've only been doing it a week and it's already making me feel better. I've lost 6 lbs this week. You have to be very dedicated to do it though. It's no joke. Not for beginners that's for sure. You seem like you are not a beginner though so I think you wil do just fine!!! Congrats on your weight loss!! WOW! You have done so awesome!
Hey girl....look at you. Still gong and still beautiful! Thanks for your comment. Im excited to be back. I really need to do this for me and my family. Yeah, we have been through a lot, but we are stronger by it! keep up the good work, and we'll chat soon!
Never heard of such a thing. Sounds like a great idea, but I can't help thinking "where the heck am I gonna hide that thing when not in use?" I have a hard enough time stashing away the dumbells and yoga mat. Maybe you have more storage than I do. Remember, I hate a cluttered house. I wish our machines had personal TV's at the gym. There are only 3 hanging from the ceiling and its either CNN or Sports. I want the food network!
An earthquake in Missouri? That must have been pretty scary-alone and in a hotel room at 4am! BTW, everyone is fine. No damage, no injuries. Thankfully!
I dont think I would like to go years without eating thai food. But, of course, it is a lot of noodles which I'm not supposed to eat. Hm.. hadn't thought of that.
The hula hoop sounds so fun. But also sounds like I wouldn't use it as often as I should.
I love that you go to the gym and work work work! I've got to start doing that again like I used to!
Coupled with my regular gym routine, I've lost almost another 3 pounds for the week. I used it daily for this first week I've had it and I can definitely see my body taking on a more toned shape or the shape I want to have when I've lost all the weight. I wouldn't say that was all Wii Fit, but I think it helped in areas that I don't think I was getting to while working out at my gym.
I sent the link for the weighted hula hoops to Jay as a hint LOL!! We'll see if he bites. Of course, I have a lot of exercise options, I just need to keep doing them.
