Looking for a cheaper way??

Have you been looking for a cheaper way to buy low cal food and track your calories?  Have people suggested Jenny Craig, but you just can't budget for it?

I am a huge fan of Jenny Craig because that's how I lost my weight, but it sure did get expensive.  Well, if you can't afford Jenny Craig but still want to have pre-prepared food, track your food, and count your calories, please check out the Lean Cuisine website I found yesterday.  I love it!!  I used it to track all my food yesterday and it tracked my calories for me.

I would suggest you find a sale on Lean Cuisine, buy enough for a week, input your selections into the lunch and dinner portion of the "Meal Planner" on the website, then add in your milk, fruit, veggies, bread, and snacks into the planner until you reach the calorie level you want to be at for each day.  And BAM, you have a cheaper way!  It will even allow you to print a shopping list, if you choose to do your inputs first and then go to the grocery store.

Here is the website:  www.leancuisine.com/Index/Index.aspx

So, as I said, I tracked my food and calories yesterday using the website.  I ended up at around 1500 for the day.  A little over where I want to be but my mom cooked dinner so it was hard to stay at 1200 calories.  Oh well.  But I did go to the gym again after work.  I did 35 minutes on the eliptical and 35 minutes on the treadmill.

This time I watched Oprah at the gym....Dr. Oz was on talking about age and health.  I love Dr. Oz!  Did any of you read one of his books called "You on a Diet"?  It's a great book!

Have a Happy Hump Day!!

Cool!

Because I'm sitting here wondering how I'm going to afford JC much longer.  This always happens.  I love it, but the price is steep!

And, yes, I have that book and love it!

Thanks!!

Thanks for visiting...sorry to hear about your surgery.  I hope you're doing better and can get to running again.  Sounds like you've done some awesome races in the past!!

Hey there

Thanks for the comments!  Yes I'm back and i'm glad to see you are posting again too!!  You are doing so awesome!!  Keep it up!!

Jenn

Smart Ones too

Thanks for visiting my blog and your suggestions for breaking my scale addiction.  I think I might try taking it out of the bathroom, so I'm not tempted so often.

I really like the Lean Cuisine meals, and I wasn't aware that they have a website, so I'll definitely try it out.  Smart Ones frozen entrees are also pretty good, and they have a few different selections, so if you ever get bored, you can switch it up.

Keep up the great work!

Cool!

I'm gonna have to go check out that website. I've never been much for Lean Cuisine, but I probably should look into it for when I'm on my own (like this past few days!) for meals.

Now see, I feel like racquetball would be really hard! I've never tried it because I'm afraid I'll lose an eye! ;)

I'm so much less stressed out when my house is clean. I used to have a service, but it was getting to be a pain. They would be early or late or it would rain and I'd have to figure out what to do with the dogs, etc. Its just easier and less invasive to clean my own damn house! LOL

Yes, I love Dr. Oz and I have that book and a few others. Great stuff!

Oh, yea!

I bought 3 of these lunch totes last year and I love them! They are so cute!! I love the colors. I forgot that I got them from the Lean Cusine website! They are for a great cause, too!!

You on a diet

Yes I've read that book. I thought it was comforting. And sometimes I am just feeling sad about how difficult this journey seems.  So sometimes I just need a feel-good book that helps me along. That's a good one. I also like "Tales from the Scale" by Erin Shea, it's short stories about how weight makes women feel.
