New Goal Reached HURRAY

I'm giving myself a high 5 today because I reached an intermediate goal of dropping below 200 lbs.  Today the scale read 199.5 HURRAY.  Only 14.5 lbs left to go to reach my goal.

I have to say that it really pays to use the tools available to us in the day and age.  I've had a little bit of guilt at not being able to lose the weight without external help (i.e. phen-pro).  But then I think about it.  I have allergies too, and they are controlled with Allegra.  I am nearsighted and my vision is corrected wearing glasses.  So I solved my weightloss with another tool phen-pro no big deal.  It really works.

I also think that two days back to back working out really jump starts the metabolism too.

Well I am off on vacation to the beach.  I am going to have to be on my best behavior to avoid the fattening foods, french fries, ice cream, breakfast and crabs.

PhenPro IS expensive

I have a coworker who used it and it worked for her.  But the price is outrageous...insurance doesn't cover this type of regimen because the combo, from what I've read, isn't approved by the FDA.  The coworker found it very expensive as well even though she wasn't paying for it...her sister did.

If you know another way to get it "cost effectively" I'd be really interested in knowing.  We are in the same state.

RE: Phen-Pro is Expensive

Phen-Pro is cost effective - your health is worth it

So here are the costs I have paid thus far.  Not covered by insurance.

1) 1st visit to the doctor $80
2) Prescriptions Phentermine $35 and Prozac $20
3) Refill of Prozac $20
4) 2nd visit to the doctor $80
5) Refill of Phentermine $35 and Eflexor (alternative to Prozac) $35
Total spent in first 2 months: $305

Less the money saved on food:  -$100 (this is a guestimate I didnt track it but I ate half or less of what I normally eat)

Net, net $205

Its not cheap, but its better than being heavy and unhealthy with high blood pressure, high sugar, high cholesteral etc.
If I end up spending under $1000 this year to solve my weight problem then .. thats money well spent and I will save it 1000 fold in health care and well being.

I know you are in my state, you should try to call and see Dr. Anchors.  He is in Rockville.

Best of luck
Greg
