Sorry I've been lax about checking in. I've been doing okay with my eating but haven't been able to exercise much. What set me onto an over load of antibiotics also landed me with a nasty yeast infection. I know, something that you truly wanted to hear about, right? I guess 2,000mg of penicillin for 10 days is just asking for a bit of an yeast to build up. Anyway, I didn't think exercising under those conditions sounded all that idea.... Not to mention that things have been really crazy around here and I'm exhausted to begin with.
The Celtic Music festival that I went to last weekend was AWESOME! My friend and I had a wonderful time and we're looking forward to going back next year.
I'm planning on starting back again today with exercising. My middle dd has a soccer game this morning, so hopefully some time after that I'll be able to fit in my dvds. My dh is working this weekend, so it will be and the kiddos at home. Not always a good combination. The last time I exercised with them all at home, I was constantly interupted by my 4 and 11 y/o's. Go figure!
I'm doing okay in the eating dept. However, I'm beginning to wonder what's up. I've gained 2-3lbs. I'm hoping it's muscle - my thighs are feeling tighter... so, perhaps? But truly, I'm not holding my breath on this.
Yesterday, I did the Hip Hop Abs Total Body Burn dvd. It's about 40 mins.... of a kick @$$ workout. I had a hard time keeping up - not because the moves were too fast - but because I just didn't have the stamina to do it. I made it through the video though and felt a lot better, though winded, afterwards.
I went to the dr in the late afternoon. Turns out, that although I don't have strep - which I truly thought was the case, I do have white spots on my tonsils (which is what prompted me to call the dr to begin with).
I've gone to bed early for the past two nights. I'm so tired. Running on so little sleep for so long will do that, I guess. Runs down your immune system and all that other fun stuff. So, I'm on antibiotics now. I still feel like crap, but it hasn't been a full 24 hrs yet. I'm not sure if it was the workout that I did yesterday or if it's for the simple fact that I am sick.
I need to be better for Saturday. Saturday, I'm going to a Celtic Music fest with my friend for the day. I'm really excited about it and have been looking forward to it since last year.
I'm hoping to do some sort of workout today, but not sure what it will be. I'll check back in when I do with what I did.
9/24 : x-cise : HHA ~ cardio 30 min, sculpt 20 min
bfast : 1/2c bran flakes, 1/2 c milk
lunch : yogurt, wheat crax, choc cov. raisins
dinner : chips & salsa (mv)
I'm sick. I've got a cold, stuffy nose, cough, etc. It doesn't surprise me though. Figured I'd have the salsa from a local place. They over load the garlic and I figured that would be a good idea to help me kick this.
The exercise really helped me feel better for a while.
9/18: exercise : stairs

I spent the day decorating a cake and didn't get the chance to eat lunch until 2pm. I really wasn't all that hungry, but knew I should eat something otherwise I'd be making the wrong food choices later.

Well, it's been a very long time since I last posted. I've been working out off and on. I had been going to Curves, but my membership expires this month. I wont be resigning my contract as I truly was not getting out of it what I had hoped to be getting. That's okay though. I do enjoy doing my videos and such at home. Not to mention that I much prefer to exercise in the mornings rather than the afternoons and the only time I was able to go to Curves was in the afternoons and early evenings.
I ended up ordering the Hip Hop Abs dvds - yeah, the ones that you see on tv. I ordered them on Sept 3rd. I'm still waiting for them. The good news is, they are enroute to my house. YEA!! Hopefully they'll be here soon as I'm really excited to try them. Let's just hope that I don't fall flat on my face for having two left feet.
With the kids at home this summer, I haven't really had much of a chance to exercise. I've fit it in where I could - but seriously, it's not as much as I should have. So now, it's like starting over from scratch. The kids are all back in school now and I can't tell you how excited I am over that. It's just me and my little man here at home now and he should be starting preschool in March. Of course, by then I'll be getting a new baby to sit for, so I guess we shall see what happens when the time comes. No, the baby is not mine. It belongs to my friend who is due in February. The gender, at this point, is unknown.... however, it's suspected to be a boy.
I've been doing really good for the past few days about keeping track of what I'm eating and the exercises that I've been doing. My goal is to continue to keep track plus post here with the info. I'm also setting new goals for myself that I'm hoping to be able to achieve. I know I will be able to, it's just going to take time and patience, which I often lack on some things.
I've already lost 10 lbs since the end of April and 5lbs since the middle of August. I know, it's not much especially for being in such a long amount of time.... However, if you factor in the fact that I really have not been exercising, I guess it's about average. I'm sure it would have been a lot more had I been exercising.
