Before After

I'm Back . . . and smaller than ever

Well I am smaller than I have been in the last year . . .

I haven't updated my blog in a while, but here is a brief summary of all that is bright, shiny and new in my life.

The huge project that I have been woking on since January finally went to the printer, and will be delivered tomorrow A.M. Woo-hoo - now I have to hustle to finish the last 4 buildings, and the miscellaneous sheets. Oh, to make the last bit more clear, I am a project manager for a small architectural firm, and we finally finished a huge set of plans with 15 buildings.

As for my wweight, I was up, I was down, I was left and I was right . . . I had to leave the rice diet alone for a few days, since I had a cosmetic/medical procedure done and part of the recovery is eating a high protein diet. So that is what I have been doing for the past couple days.

I also put a deposit on a new sewing machine . . . a Bernina for any of you that love to sew. Talk about excited, I haven't been able to stop trolling through Amazon, book-marking all of the pattern making, heirloom finishing books.

At Border's I pciked up a great book called 'Sew U' by Built by Wendy. It comes with 3 basic patterns and instructions on how to alter them to make different style clothing. It included a basic pattern for bootleg  pants, and since that is the style that I wear most often - SCORE!!!!!

Oh, hmmm . . . yeah - about the PCOS,  the most incredible thing happened. My doctor put me on some natural progesterone, and a lot of the symptoms that I had been having have seemed to dissapear. For a couple years, my skin has been holding me hostage, expecially on my face. It was partially dry, and had pores that would give the Grand Canyon a run for it's money. Regardless of the facial cleanser, it never seemed to improve. But after 6 days on the progesterone - my pores are lookin normal. The answer wasn't the cleanser, it was much deeper than skin deep.

So all is well, I am sticking to my low carb diet right now, and it is pretty easy, especially since I realized that I can still have juice. Not 8 ounces, but 2 ounces, diluted with sparkling water. Delicous & refreshing.

Last, but not least . . . my Italy trip is seriously coming together. My mother is going to come out to visit me in October, the last month I am there, and my favorite aunt will be coming out as well. I am really happy. My cousin and his wife might some out, and another cousin as well . . . the Italians had better watch out. It is going to be a regular family reunion.

please excuse the spelling . . . I have had about 10 hours sleep in the last three days . . .

Go BiBi, Go BiBi!

Sounds like all is well at Camp BiBi...and to be honest, I never noticed your pores.  I sent you a little incentive in the mail, did you get it yet?  U know, Chicago was recently ranked worst in the nation for mail carrier services, so it might still be here in Chicago even though I mailed it on Thursday or Friday.

Wish I could visit you in Italy, but alas, it's doubtful.

Peace-n-chicken grease,
Lindy
