A few realizations . . .

I was a bit disappointed because my weight shot up and then stayed the same for two days. I went back to the book, measured my food a bit more closely and came to the following conclusions. Even though I am doing a high-carb diet, my body does not love corn right now. My taste buds might love corn, but my weight does not. So I am going to have to let that go for a while. The other thing I realized by re-measuring my food was that I was inadvertently eating too many calories. So yesterday, I made up my bean salad concoction, and I left out all the corn *sigh* And my weight went down a pound *cheer*

This is all about taking the diet, and within the guidelines figuring out what works best for your body. My body really likes this eating plan, my fat cells do not and under no circumstances can I eat corn - even if it is salt free.

So I posted my weight today, and even though I am up 0.2 pounds from a few days ago, I worked to get back to 179, I had puzzles to solve, mysteries to comprehend, and now that I am back on track, I am loving that number '179' 

To summarize: still on program, still adjusting to program, gained a bit, lost a bit, relaxed a bit and eased myself more fully into the healthy food lifestyle.

Keep on trucking all - I just wanted to add, that when my weight went up, and I was doing everything right,  I made sure that I didn't use it as an excuse to lose my mind. I stayed on program, and resisted all the temptations that sauntered up to me . . . and believe me - there were many.
