Finishing it off

So I lost a lot of weight.  But never got to goal. Got within 10 pounds.  I've been sitting for months, and months, and months at a size 6.  Not bad for a girl who started at a size 18W.  But, I am only 5' 3" and I look best in a size 4. 

So today was the day. Today is the day to stop just maintaining and get to the point where I am working at it. Actively working on it.

I decided to kick start things and to go liquid for lunch and do a Jamba Juice with plenty of protein powder.  I need to also incorporate exercise.  It just has to happen.

There is a Curves right next to my kids Irish Dance place.  I might look and see what it might cost to go there while the kids do their dancing. We shall see.

One Twenty Something

My weight has bobbled around the 135 mark for quite a long while now.  My goal weight is 135.  But for the longest time, since college really, I have longed to see the 120's again. Even if that means 129 lbs!!  One twenty anything would feel great. 

I wear a 6, but I have several items in a 4 that fit OK but show panty lines.  If I'd just get that last 7 or 8 pounds off, the 4's would be perfect.  It's going to take quite an effort. We shall see if it can be done.

Things are normalizing!

Finally the summer vacation and wedding cake pounds are coming off.  I'm getting back down where I feel comfortable.

I think the thing that keeps me maintaining is that if I go up just a couple of pounds, I get super strict on my program.  I watch what I do and get them off immediately.  I can't allow those couple pounds to sit there, because what if they invite their old friends and before you know it, it's 20 or 30 to lose and not 2-3. 

Maintenance is forever. Even with a lap band.  Having a lap band is like buying tools to fix a house.  If you never use the tools, then the house never gets renovated.

You have to work with your band.  It only controls volume. But even small volumes of very bad things can let your weight creep up if you have them often. Also, liquid things....alcohol, creamy soups, ice creams, mashed potatoes, butter....they slip right past that band.  You can't be an all day snacker either. 

So the band is a tool.  I use it to my advantage.  I avoid the pitfalls.  I put healthy amounts of healthy things in, and I get a healthy, fit body.  It helps, but I still so a bit of the work. 

Heading in the right direction

Well the wedding vacation weight is coming back off. Back down to 139.  A few more to go to get to my all time low.  I think I was down to 133 a few months back. So 6 to go. Then all of the Size 4's will work again.  Big change for a gal that wore an 18W.  Right now....some 4's fit, but mostly 6's. 

I hate having to re-lose the same pounds again. But that is life, and vacation happens, and sometimes you have to have  slice of wedding cake and some mixed drinks on a beach!!

Vacation and a Wedding Killed Me

I'm doing poorly this week. I'm up a few pounds. Mostly due to a week at the beach that included a lot of food, drinks, and a wedding.   Today, it's time to be serious again and exercise and be on plan.  I know that one or two of the pounds is water, because we had a very salty meal yesterday. Still yet, some is fat, so here we go to get rid of the same couple of pounds yet again.

Maintenance can be very difficult!  Of course, I get very nervous with a fluctuation, so I've got to be seriously on my diet the next two weeks.  Low salt, low fat, high protein, high vegetable.  Here we go!

Wii Hours of the Morn

I got Wii Fit this week.  I love it.  I live to do it everyday.  I actually get out of bed at 5AM to get a half an hour in before getting ready for work.  I do another half an hour to an hour in the evening.  It is absolutely addictive and so far, I've gotten a great workout too. 

Holidays

Well, the Xmas season is here with it's cookies and mashed potatoes.  I've been at a standstill for months.  I don't know if I'll ever get off the last two pounds.  We shall see if I can't get it together in 2008!

Got the Plastic Surgury!

After losing over 70 pounds, I got a breast lift, breast induction, full tummy tuck, and lipo on the top of my hips two weeks ago.

I just LOVE it.  My tummy is so flat and tight.  My bellybutton looks like I'm 16 years old.  No stretch marks!!  My boobs look fantastic, and real....I went for small and natural, not huge and bulbous!!

I can't believe the changes.  When I'm all healed, photos are a must!

Pound 73 Off and Counting

I have moved the goal post a few times.  I never dreamed I would lose this much weight.  I hoped for a size 12.  Then I hoped to weigh one forty something.  Then I hit the 30's.  And finally, I have moved the goal post just a tiny bit more to weigh one twenty something. And then, I am finally finshed!!

The 70th Pound

Finally, the 70th pound has come off! What an accomplishment!  Not too far to go now!
