Lazy day
Spent a day doing not much of anything. Did manage to get the laundry finished and washed our bedding. Other than that...I've been sitting in my recliner trying to get comfortable with this back of mine. I've been doing some stretching exercises trying to loosen it up, but its been very frustrating.
Took a peek at the scale this morning and it showed me down another 1.5! I'm sure I'll be back up tomorrow as we had pizza & chicken for dinner. I planned for it and counted it in my points, but the sodium and whatever will no doubt do a number on my weight. Oh well........I'll just give it a good week and see what Friday brings.

That crazy weight tracker!
My apologies to anyone of my friends who was bombarded with messages saying that I had lost 212 lbs! ROFL! I think I finally got it straightened out. I think it says I've lost 3 lbs.......but in reality, since Jan 1, when I officially restarted, I've lost 6!
My boss is freaking out about auditors coming next week.......good grief....simma down!
Its his first audit here, so he's nervous. I've been here nearly 24 years.....I don't get nervous anymore!

A Crazy day!
Here it is 2:30 in the afternoon and I'm just having a second to catch up with all my friends and add a post of my own! We're getting ready for auditors here next week, so my boss is having a mini-meltdown! Deep breath.....deep breath!
I'm still sticking right on plan and have my eating planned for the rest of the day. Tomorrow is my official weigh in day, but as of now, I'm down 3 lbs for the week for a total of 6 in 2 weeks! That's the most success I've had in a long time!
Well....guess I'd better get back to work. One thing......this day is flying by!

Much better today!
Thank goodness, the old back is feeling better today! I could tell yesterday afternoon that it was getting better. I guess it takes about 24 hrs after the massage/adjustment to start feeling better. I walked on my treadmill this morning and the hip was complaining a bit, but I did some stretching and hopefully I haven't caused myself a further injury!
I found out some great news on Monday. We're going on a cruise in July around the British Isles. We booked an inside cabin, because the outside cabins were a lot more $$ and the balcony.....fuhget about it! About a month ago, we were able to upgrade to an outside cabin with a nice big window for just a couple hundred $$ more, so we went for it. Well, Monday I found out that they had drastically reduced the balcony cabins so we were able to upgrade! We got upgraded to the highest level balcony room!!!!!!!!!!!! The best part.....we end up paying $250 less per person for the balcony room than we were paying for the room with just a window! Evidently the ship is not filling up and they want the cheaper cabins available for last minute bookings......whatever........I HAVE A BALCONY FOR A 12 DAY CRUISE AROUND THE BRITISH ISLES!!!!!!!!! Can you tell I'm a little bit excited? My sister and I were talking last night. She and her husband are going too and they upgraded to a balcony as well. She's only a little jealous that we were upgraded one level higher than them! LOL! We leave 6 months from Friday.....not that I'm counting!
Eating is still on track, although I've had to cut back on the gym workouts till this back gets better. I do a little bit, but I'm afraid to do too much. I'll pop in today and see what the crowd looks like and see how my back feels till then.

Feeling crabby.....
Sigh.......this aching back is making me very crabby. I went to the chiro yesterday. He did a lot of deep muscle massage, which felt wonderful, but I think I'm a bit more achey today from it. He said I might be. My hip is still pretty sore, but it'll take more than a day for the muscles to relax. I really like the new chiro. He uses essential oils which is very nice.
I went to the gym today at lunch time, but my heart(and my back) was not in it. Plus......I'm dealing with the January gym starters who are hogging all the treadmills etc. I ended up on a bike the last 2 times I went and that's not my favorite thing.
I'm still on track with my eating. I peeked at the scale this morning and they said 212......which would be down 6 from my initial weigh in on 1/1. Woohoo!! I suppose it'll creep back up till my official weigh in on Friday!
I stopped at the grocery store on my lunch hour to stock up on the Arnold's Sandwich Thins(whole wheat) OMG.......I am SO addicted to them! They are on sale this week at our store, so I wanted to be sure to get a few more packs. I use them for breakfast with a bit of natural peanut butter & jelly, or as a snack with a slice of low fat cheese in the middle. Once I even toasted them and used butter spray and a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar! You just can't beat it for 1 point!
Ok.....back to work for me. Time to get up and stretch my back again.....

Monday, Monday....
All is well here and I'm heading to the chiropractor at 1. Gotta get this back/hip thing straightened out. I'm going to someone new, which makes me a little nervous, but I'm sure it'll be fine. I took 2 Tylenol PM's last night and slept really well. Trying to turn from side to side in bed is very painful on my hip. Once I'm flipped, its not bad, but the flipping part is ouchie! I walked 20 minutes on my treadmill this morning. Walking actually feels good. Sitting is the worst. I'm leaving work at 1 and heading to the Dr and then just going home. He'll probably tell me to go home and put ice on it or something, so I decided not to come back to work.
I have my food all planned for the day, but for some reason, I don't have much appetite. Maybe because I'm preoccupied with the pain in my back? Who knows?

Oh my aching back.....
Not sure what happened, but my left hip is totally out of whack! I haven't been sleeping well, so I'm calling the chiro tomorrow. I hope I can get in tomorrow, I can't stand it much longer. I stand up and stretch my hips every few minutes and rub bio-freeze on it for some relief. My regular chiro is on maternity leave and has just come back with a limited schedule and I can't get in to her till Feb 2, can't wait that long.
I just made a big pot of stuff to have for lunches this week. I made some high fiber rotini pasta and threw in a can of pink beans(drained), a can of whole kernel corn(drained) and a can of diced tomatoes(not drained). I added spices like salt, pepper, cumin, red pepper flakes and a sprinkle of sugar. I ate a bowl for lunch....its mighty yummy! Oh.......I also added some fresh salsa that I had. Its going to be a cold week, so something I can heat up for lunch will really hit the spot. I'm figuring 5 pts for a nice big bowl.....and that may be a bit high.
DH was out cleaning up snow this morning. We got about 4 inches, I guess. He doesn't mind being out in the cold, but I hate it! We have a snowblower so he didn't have to shovel very much. I've just been doing laundry and puttering around the kitchen.

Oh sure!
My official weigh in was yesterday......I was down 3 lbs. It's all good. This morning I weighed myself.......down another 1.5! Now.....why couldn't those pounds have gone in time for weigh in? Sigh.....oh well, just hope they stay gone till next Friday's official weigh in!
Tonight will be a test of Intuitive eating. We're having a snow storm, so hubby said lets just get a frozen pizza and some breaded chicken tenders(that you bake) to have for dinner. I think I'll be fine if I eat just till satisfied. No stuffing in 3 pieces of pizza etc. I had a very healthy low point lunch, so I have lots of points left for the day. I got some of those Arnold Sandwich Thins(whole wheat) oh my......they are delicious and 1 point for a whole "bun". I had one of those with some turkey breast and fresh salsa.....yum yum. I also had a honeybell tangelo that we just received from Florida....so juicy and sweet!
We've had an inch or so of snow so far and its supposed to snow heavily from about 3 or 4 this afternoon till early tomorrow morning! I guess we may get 7 inches or so total. We decided to go get groceries today so we don't have to fight the snow piles tomorrow.

One week down....3 lbs gone!
Finally.......a downward movement of the scale! I have to admit that I was hoping for a little bigger loss for my first week, but I'll take it! I have a feeling my loss will be at a snails pace, but it doesn't matter......this is for life. I have no deadline, no time when I'll go off this diet, since this is a life change and not a diet to be followed for a short amount of time.
Hope you all had a good week and have a wonderful weekend! I'll be watching it snow......we're supposed to get 6-10 inches. My sister was going to come for the weekend, but we've had to cancel that. I'm disappointed as I haven't seen her in a couple months and we always have fun. Oh well.....another time. I'll just have to try and stay OP as I sit inside and watch the snow fall!

A blip on the radar.....
Hmm.......thought I had yesterday all planned out. Not so much. Since the weather was crap, the girls decided to order lunch in. Now, I could have eaten what I planned, but ordering in sounded much better. They called Dominos and I got one of their Oven Baked Sandwiches.....the Chicken Parm one. While the girl was on the phone ordering it, I went into their website to check calories/points........
Gulp......770 calories, 30 gr of Fat....WTF??????? So okay, went into a different site to calculate points.......17 !! Holy Moly! Oh well....I wrote it down and figured it in. The thing is.....the sandwich was very good, but I fail to see where the 770 cals came from!? I mean, it was a roll, not overly large, not in the least bit greasy, some tomato sauce, a few bits of chicken and 1 sl of Mozz cheese.....where on earth did 770 cals come from? Sigh........So, that put me in a foul mood the rest of the day. I went home and Grandson was still there. I didn't feel like making the shrimp stir-fry(we'll have it tonight), I warmed up tuna noodle casserole from the other night for dh & I(I had a very small portion) and the Grandson had spaghetti O's. About 7:30...I was hungry. Guess it was just one of those days. I had a piece of high fiber bread with a small bit of natural peanut butter and a skiff of strawberry jam. I dipped into my flex pts(or whatever they're called now) big time. I try to stay at 26 pts a day, yesterday was 33! Today will be a better day.....
Thursday....thank goodness! I may just make it thru the week! My sister is coming on Friday night to spend the weekend. I'm looking forward to that. She's doing WW too, so we're already planning our eating strategy!
