Ok...all I have to do is get thru today. I'm off tomorrow for golf & DH gets home tomorrow afternoon! Yeah! We have a rainy day today and tomorrow is iffy. Sure hope the weather doesn't ruin golf. Saturday is the first Penn State game and we're going with some friends who have never been there. It should be fun.....its not everyday you're in a stadium with 108,000 screaming people! Its an experience, let me tell you! They're calling for a chance of showers Saturday morning, but at least it won't be cold. Being wet and warm is a lot better than being wet and cold! ACK!
Made my 10,000 steps again yesterday. Today may be a struggle as I won't get my morning coffee break 2000 steps in(raining). I'll go to the gym at lunch time and get a couple thousand and I'll just have to force myself to go out for a walk tonight. I haven't gotten into that "groove" yet. I do have my treadmill and I could use that....we'll see. Guess I should see if it still works...its been awhile since I turned it on!

Had a great day on the golf course yesterday! A bad day of golf beats a good day at work, anytime! I do sort of feel like someone beat me with my 9 iron, but other than that...its all good! LOL! I have off Friday again and my friend invited me to golf with her and her husband again! Fun times! My DH is away at a seminar and won't be home till Friday afternoon sometime. I'm missing him....I'll tell you that! I was looking forward to some alone time, but I'm over that now....I want him home!
I've been getting all my steps in with no problem, but the eating is another matter. I've just been going from one thing to another in the evenings. And, not just a bite or 2. We're talking BIG portions. Sigh........Thank goodness I'm getting the exercise as that is helping the scale to stay the same. I'll be sure to get my steps in today as well. Sept 1 is the official start date of the challenge......bring it on!
OMG........was I ever a lazy slug this weekend! I'm very ashamed of myself! I have no excuses..... At any rate, I'm back to the gym today on my lunch hour and also I'll be getting some walking in at some point. Don't think I'll get my morning "Coffee break loop" in as it looks like rain. Its supposed to clear this afternoon, so I'll do it then. Scale was up to 214 this morning which makes me ill. I haven't changed my weight on my main page. Sept 1 is D-day. That is the official start of our walking challenge and a good day to start a weight loss challenge too. I'm going to give it a good week and see if I can't get back down a couple pounds before Monday. I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow to play golf with a couple friends and it looks like it'll be a stellar day! Sunny and in the 70's, perfect!! I just hope my golf game is decent.....one never knows! I hope you all have a great week!
Shoot.....only 9386 steps yesterday! So close, but yet so far away!! I think I did good to get that many as I was totally exhausted yesterday! I made it to the gym for a good workout yesterday and did my coffee break lap so that's how I got close to 10,000. Today I did the coffee break lap, but not sure how much more I'll get in. I should go this evening for a walk.....and I might.....Friday's are just not usually too ambitious for me! ;-)
I have to tell you.....I am one tired pup! I've really been pushing the walking this week and I can totally feel it! My steps yesterday...13,277!!! I had golf last night and I did a good bit of walking. In addition to that, I did my "coffee break" loop of 3/4 mile and walked for 30 min. at lunch time! Today its back to the gym for weights and a 20 min. walk. I'll also do my loop here around 9AM. I'm enjoying it, but man, my legs are giving me a bit of protest! Since I've been doing all this walking, I am SO hungry at the end of the day! I mean, seriously, I could eat my own foot! Hubby doesn't get home till 6:30 2 nights a week now that school is back in session and I simply can't wait that long for dinner! I get home and eat a tomato sandwich on WW bread......not bad points wise and oh so yummy! It gets me thru till hubby gets home for a proper dinner! Tonight is a pedicure for me and then shrimp stir-fry for dinner.....yummo! Have a great day all!
Hooray! Finally made it to that magic number of 10,000 steps! If only you could just do it once and have all your extra weight fall off! LOL! I'm shooting for 10k again today. I have golf tonight and I'll try to do a bit of walking. Today is my off day from the gym, but I'm going to take my Ipod and go walking for 1/2 hr. Then I'm hitting the Chinese buffet for a small container of take-out. I love the broccoli w/chicken & the mushrooms......ooh....and the sauteed green beans with garlic! Yum!!
I'm just about to head out for my morning 3/4 loop for my coffee break. I'm still trying to recruit some of the others here to go with me, but no luck so far. Oh well......their loss!
Doh.......9787 steps yesterday! So close to 10,000!! I would have had my 10,000 if I had put the pedometer on first thing in the morning yesterday. I didn't put it on till I left for work. Today, I put it on first thing and got in 300 steps just in my morning routine! So.....today, its 10,000 or bust!
I did fairly well with my eating till I feel face first into the Edy's slow churned Peanut butter cup ice cream! OMG....it is so good and its lite ice cream!! Its like 1/2 the fat of regular Edy's. A half cup serving is 3 pts, but I fear I had about a cup and a half! I didn't intend to buy any this week, but our grocery store had them buy one, get one free!! How could I walk past that? LOL! Sigh.........
I'm planning a good day today. Exercise plans are in place and eating should be right on track. Hope you all have a great day!
My body has got to be thinking.......what the heck is she doing?? Healthy eating, exercise...?? What's up with that? LOL! I think I mentioned previously in my blog that my company is starting a walking challenge 9/1. Well, I've been wearing my pedometer to just see how my everyday activity stacks up. We're supposed to get a minimum of 10,000 steps. Anyway, we have a nice 3/4 mile loop just outside our office door and our boss said we can take a break morning and/or afternoon and walk the loop! I walked it today and it took me 14 minutes and racked up 1675 steps! Then...I went to the gym on my lunch hour and did my regular weight lifting workout and then walked 20 minutes on the treadmill. So, I'm up to 6800 steps so far. A long way from where I need to be for the day! I know the challenge hasn't started yet, but I want to get "in the groove" before 9/1! I know what I need to do......I need to get up and walk 30 minutes on my treadmill in the mornings in addition to everything else I'm doing. Whew.....makes me exhausted just thinking about it! Wish me luck!
First of all......a question for all you seasoned EPer's! I have tried adding two friends to my friends list and I do it successfully on the friends page, but their names do not appear on my Acct Admin page! Any ideas why?
Hope you all had a great weekend! I played golf yesterday, but didn't do much Saturday, except the domestic duties of laundry and getting groceries. Fun, fun! Eating was not really on track, but not terrible either. I'll see what the scales say Sept 1.....I'm hoping I'll make some headway by then! I'm going to try to up my walking this week and also I'm finally getting back to the gym! Hopefully the extra activity will give me the boost I need! Have a good day all!
Well......my plans for the gym didn't work out today, but I may get there this weekend.....and Monday for sure! I look forward to the day when our office is back to full staff and normal operations! That day will be Tuesday, I think, but with only 1 girl off on Monday, I can still get out to the gym. Eating was not on track today again......I simply have to get a hold of myself. Hubby called and I have a feeling that my nice, low-key weekend is going to be totally disrupted. Unexpected company that I'll be required to feed. I'm just not in the best mood today and that little morsel didn't hit me real well. Its like I get no say in the matter....he invites people and I have to deal.....I'm very grouchy today for some reason!
I talked to my friend who had Gastric Bypass on Tuesday. Everything went well and he came home on Wednesday night. They were able to do it laproscopically, so that's a blessing! I just hope he does well with the drastic life change. I've been reading some things online about problems that can occur, months and even years after surgery! Of course, there can be problems with any surgery......I just hope for the best outcome for him. He and his wife are such great people......they deserve the best!
