adventures in dating

Fair warning:  This post is not EP related.
Hi friends!  I'm feeling pretty excited about someone I met online.  So far, we have not met, and he lives in CO, which is the next state over, but we've been conversing for long enough (ok, only 2 weeks) that it seems like sparks are flying through the interwebs    I'm pretty happy because it's been a long time since I've been excited about anyone.  This guy seems very similar to me in beliefs/values/sense of humor and when we talked on the phone, the conversation wouldn't have ended except my stomach started complaining to the point that I was about to eat my hand.   

So...we're planning to each drive 1/2 way this Saturday for a little meetup!  Don't worry, I will bring a chaperone and/or meet in a public place so as to make sure it's safe.  Funny thing is I feel like I trust him already.  It's nice to be no longer lamenting about B.  This guy's name is E.  I really really hope that we get along as well in person as we do on the tubes and phone.  Wish me luck!  And also wish me luck for the 50 mile bike race I'll be riding on Sunday.

Awesome- you're careful and safe with internet people. Don't be afraid to tell him you're being super careful.  I wouldn't meet at the car either, I'd say "i'll meet you inside the mall" or "inside the restaurant"

Do me a favor... make sure you let someone know where you are going and have a designated "phone home" time to call that person and let them know everything is a-okay?
 
I'm sure everything will be great, but you can't be too safe.
