lost it
I typed up a nice lonng blog and hit the wrong button and now it is all gone!
Anyway, had my annual mammogram today. I feel so good when I do the things that will keep me healthy. My goal this year is to get back to my fighting weight 135. I am eating healthy, exercising and keeping stress under control. Yoga is a great way to do that.
I am ready to pack away some of my bigger clothes, but then I remembered what I saw on a Dr. Phil show. He said when you lose weight, get rid of your bigger clothes. If you pack them up and keep them, you are really saying you will need them again, so I will make up a package for Goodwill.

Geat Weekend
Had a great weekend. The weather was fabulous. Went to a swap meet. It was sunny and hot. Bought some cute earrings and some pots for gardening. Drank my water and took long walk, along with all the walking at the swap meet.
Sunday I worked in the back yard weeding and transplanting plants. Some patio plants were far gone and had to go bye bye.
Went to Olive Gardens to celebrate my middle daugthers birthday (26 yrs). I checked ou the internet and found they have a Tuscan Apricot Chicken entree for 488 calories, so I planned that into my calories for the day. It was delicious.
Took the dogs on a 3 mile walk and they always appreciate new adventues, so I took them on a new route.
Monday weighed in and was happy to have lost 1.5 lbs. Stayed on the food plan and drank my 64 fl oz.
Tuesday, stayed on food plan, water plan, and some girls at work decided to take a 15 minute brisk walk on our morning break, so that will be an added benefit.
I was able to open a box I had put clothes in that did not fit me anymore and was able to add some items back into my wardrobe. That felt great!!!!

water day
Drank a lot of water today about 90 oz. Then finished the day in the water with water aerobics. I love the feeling of weightless while in the pool. I am a little waterlogged.
Met a friend for lunch at Subway, love those sandwiches! The sun was shining and it was so warm, we at outside.
Made three bean soup for dinner. It was delicious.
I think this weekend I am going to go into the box that has my skinner clothes. I think I may be able to fit back into some of them. : )
Maybe.... we'll see.

Tuna
I really don 't like fish, but am really trying to add more of it to my diet. Our neighbor was fishing off the coast of San Diego and gave us some tuna. I didn't really want it, but I put it in the freezer. I finally decided it was time to eat it or just get it out of the freezer. My husband cooked it and it was delicious!
We had shrimp for dinner last night, so I am adding more sea food.
Survived the pot luck day at work. there were some pretty good choices, I had some fruti and some salad.
Didn't make the 64 oz of water today, will do better tomorrow.
Ate according to the plan. 1400 calories with snacks,.
For exercise today, yoga in the morning and took the dogs for a long walk after dinner, up and down some hilly areas for extra points!
I got my first "Have you lost weight " comment today. I guess it is starting to show a little bit. My slack are getting loose in the waist. Yeah!

Fat Tuesday
A long day, Up early -5:30 am - yoga then work, dinner, gym, home. Almost 9 pm and I am tired. I am so glad I voted absentee, so that was one less thing to do today.
At work today, someone brought in a humungous chocolate cake. It was 5 layers and covered in shaved chocolate on the frosting' It was on the table in the middle of the office and I had to walk by it many times. But if I ate any, it would have been all over. Once I start eating something with sugar, a craving starts and I want another piece. There is no such thing as once piece of cake.
So, I stuck to my commitment of healthy eating and passed it by.

Challenge
I am beginning a 6 week challenge to add some fun to the weight loss game. Points for exercise, drinking 64 oz water, food plan and more. I am really amazed at how much better I feel since losing some weight and eating healthier. I have more energy. There is a birthday party at work this week, and we all bring pot luck. There is always so much food at work There was tons of chocolate over the holidays. I will bring some fresh fruit to share.
My husband is joining me in losing weight, so it has been great having him eating meals - lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables. He had done Weight Watcher before and we follow that plan.

Superbowl weekend.
Starting my blog. First time blogger and I keep hitting the wrong buttons and I am taken away from this site.
Anyway, looking to make it back into the 130's. I need to remember it took me years and years to get where I am now. I started at 165 and have so far lost 9 lbs.
I am making a commitment to eating more fresh fruits and vegetables and exercising. My excercise of choice is water aerobics, walking and yoga.
I read Dr, Oz's book - You -the Owers Manual. It was so informative and made me want to be fit. The goal is healthy living. I am so amazed at how much better I feel after I cut out the sweets and junk food. I ate at night watching tv for really no good reason, I wasn't hungry, it was just a treat. So, I am changing my bad habits into good one.s
