Ninabeh joon are you in Japan? I have couple of suggestions about Japanese cuisine.
Ok, I have two favorite items that you can probably find in Korean resturaunts as well:
1. Steamed Edamame beans: They have lots of protein, very little fat and are a good filling snack or apetizer or side dish. I usually ask a serving and like it salted.
2. Miso soup: Watery food usually fills you up so it's a very good apetizer. This one has very little calories and fat. It has sea weeds but I like the taste.
3. They don't have teryaki dishes? I know it's Japanese but I thought they might have.
4. If they serve dumplings see if you can ask them not to fry it.
5. Do they have spring rolls?
