Before After

back home/back on track

I'm back from my trip home to San Diego. I had a great time with my family and ate at fabulous restaurants a few times a day...we had family visiting from Europe.

Since I've come home we've bought a dog! Her name is Phoebe, and she's an 8 month old black standard poodle. She is beautiful. She's helping me be more active and make a schedule for myself, as I have to get up early to take her outside of the apartment in the morning. We got her on Friday and I've spent every waking moment with her--BIG MISTAKE. She has serious separation anxiety when I leave for a few minutes. I have to try a new approach. See picture below :)

Today is a good day because I'm on DAY THREE of perfect eating and exercising. It's been at least a month since I've been able to really follow my plan. I just haven't been into it mentally and got into bad habits of staying up too late and snacking late at night, not to mention drinking too much wine. I feel SO much better now. Just getting through the first day is the hardest thing. After that, things become so much more manageable. I'm up about 10 lbs since I moved...give or take a few. Lots of it is water weight just from eating junky, salty stuff and not drinking enough water. I plan to get back down to where I was before the move...and then slowly start getting the rest of this weight off by the New Year. That's my plan!

i am glad that you had fun visting your family.  your dod is super cute.  standard poodles have the best temperment.   you will knock those 10 lbs out in no time,  way to go getting back on track!
