Schedule

This is embarrassing to admit, but I sleep in REALLY late now that I don't have a job to worry about. I try to go to bed earlier some nights, and I toss and turn like a maniac. Don't judge; trust that I'd love to be working. I'm trying to be grateful for the time that the bad economy has provided for me to better myself, I guess. So, for now, this is an approximate schedule that some of you recommend I make:

10:00-wake up, coffee
10:30-healthy breakfast...a protein and a fruit
11:00-clean kitchen, start laundry, etc
11:30-do some job hunting online
12:30-protein shake
2:00 or 2:30-boyfriend goes to work
2:30-healthy snack
3:00-GYM or run outside depending on weather
4:30-shower
5:00-shopping, groceries, errands
6:00-cook dinner
6:30-healthy dinner

Mondays and Wednesdays: 7:30-Yoga
Mondays and Fridays: 4:00-Chiropractor

On days when my friend actually goes to the gym with me: 9:00-GYM instead

And then the rest of the evening is mine until 11pm 5 nights a week, which is when I start to get in trouble with the food and late night eating. Once all my household stuff is done, there isn't much to do for the evening, and I'm alone with the kitchen and the TV. I read, and try to be constructive, but I feel the evenings are a big waste of time, and I only have the one friend here so far. That's my trouble right now. I had a very full and active social life in San Diego. Now that I'm here and don't work, there isn't anywhere to meet new people.

I'll stop complaining. I'm really very thankful for everything I have. I'm just at a loss with what to do with all this free time in the evenings.

Maybe you can switch your schedule so that you do your job hunting or cleaning in the evening?

....

why not do home learning? do a nutrirtion course Im sure you have them in the states we have the open univercity where you can do a degree from home one or two hours study a year... that way youll have another degree/qualification.. something that will aid you and something to keep your brain working till you find work, also look good on your cv that you have stayed active and motivated whilest looking for work and something you can keep going when you get work

i agree

that you should check out meetup.com.  i joined and have found several clubs that i enjoy.  have you thought of volunteering?  i am sorry you are lonely there.  i am sure you will meet some friends soon.   maybe your boyfriend has a friend from work that you could double date with.   have a great day!

...

This is just a suggestion, but I actually enjoy doing lots of crafts when I have time alone. Could you possibly start a hobby like that. I do cross stitch, knitting, paper crafting, scrapbooking. There are endless things you could try to keep your fingers busy and pass the time.

hmmmm

That is really hard.  It's not like anything is even open that late to go to...Not even Starbucks, which wouldn't help with your sleep.   Have you checked Meet up or Yahoo groups for a book club?

Friends...

Hope you find some friends soon!!
