I'm not naturally inclined to make good food choices
You would think that, after almost 10 months of working on this body of mine, I would easily be able to make healthy food choices. You would also think that I would WANT to make them, right? This whole not working thing with no set schedule and late nights up watching Sopranos (yes, I do have to stay up late or I won't see my boyfriend who gets home from work at 11pm) is NOT helping me with my weight loss effort. I've gotten comfortable here. I've gotten comfortable with my weight, which has gone up since I moved away. I thought it would be so much easier to continue losing weight here because I buy all the groceries. I'm not at the mercy of my parents' high fat foods anymore. Still, I'm eating when I'm bored, and I'm eating late at night, and I'm bored OFTEN and up late OFTEN. This is not a healthy pattern, and I have some thinking to do as to how I'm going to get my butt back in gear.
Game plan so far:
Get more healthy food in this house. The more choices I have, the better.
Get to the gym no matter what 5 days a week (yoga tonight 7:30-9).
Cut down on the wine.
Stop buying hummus because I eat the whole container in 2 days.
Get to bed a little earlier.
Brush my teeth right after dinner...maybe this will help with the late night eating.
That's all I've got so far. Really, this is tougher than I thought. I'm taking a trip home to San Diego on the 7th. My trainer said I could work out with her all week while I'm there (for free because we're friends). That should be good motivation.

Could you...
I was unemployed for a short period of time last summer. The smartest thing anyone told me to do was arrange my day as if I had a "real" schedule.
So, I had a "get up" time, a breakfast, lunch, job search, shopping, gym slot, etc. I had my own routine, even if it no longer involved going to the office.
It kept me on track physically and emotionally (and the dog got a lot more walking during those weeks!)
Enjoy your visit to SD!!!

:)
You can do this. You are aware of your danger times and foods.
((hugs))

I've found
Individual servings of Hummus at Costco. Also at World Market. You can get this back together. Imagine that the checker at the grocery store is your old trainer and is evaluating every choice.

I agree wih the schedule, I would get up the time you would have to if you were going to school then leave the house, go a walk/job hunt/etc etchome lunch out a walk job hunting /shopping/earends, home dinner, housework, gym, bath, boyfriend, bed that way also when you do get a job your not out of sync and your used to getting up and getting out etc?

sounds like you have a great plan to get back on track. food is a constant struggle for me too. it seems like the more weight you lose the harder it is to stay on track. you should take a pic of your trainer and set a reminder on your phone (with her picture) telling you to stay out of the kitchen. lol. i am so glad my kitchen is downstairs. i am too lazy to go back down at night!

You know you can do this! You need to keep going, you don't want to look back on those 10 months of effort and think you've wasted it. It's SO easy wher you feel comfortable to sit back and relax, but that won't make you feel good in long run, honestly hunny, I'm there now trying to get back just to "comfortable".
