Lemon Overload!
They say when life throws you lemons make lemonade, Who are these people? There is only so much friggin lemonade you can drink.
I'd much rather have peaches, then I'd have to make a bunch of pies and that would soooo not go well with my diet. I have been procrastinating for years about truly pulling my eating habits together. And now, as life would have it, I have NO CHOICE.
I accept. I accept the challenge of eating for LIFE. I accept the task of nurturing myself and my family in the best ways possible.
Whoever 'they' are can keep the lemons though!

Ode to Thanksgiving
ohh thanksgiving. How you have defeated me. With your scrumptious delights, and twice a year delicacies.
You never fail to have me eat as though it were the last time.
Plate after plate for 3 days in a row.
I beginning to think your powers are greater than you know.

In the beginning.
In the beginning there was a girl
who always lived in her own little world.
Through ups and downs, highs and lows
her scale followed
her life's flow.
All of a sudden she found a new love
that could've only been sent from heaven above
from that new love sprang forth new life.
She went from a girl to mother and wife.
With her new roles
came new motivation
to live life to it's fullest
while healthy and patient.
It's going to take time
it's going to take patience
but with lots of dedication
she new she would make it.
To her daughters graduation
and family vacations
to run and jump and play
to laugh and sing and dance
to enjoy all that life has blessed her with and all that is to come.
