Writing My Novel
Heya,
I've been gone because I have been writing my first novel, "The Rislenta Memoirs, Breathless" (sci-fi/fantasy). I have also been writing short stories and poems to submit to literary journals such as The Harvard Review and Fantasy and Science Fiction, to set a foundation that I will be able to put in my proposal letter to my agent and editor when I go to sell my novel.
I will post scans of my short stories and poems once they're published and once my book is published I will definitely try to post a link to my publisher's website.
I have been studying The Secret as a theory of "Life Success" and its thought changing ideas are actually very helpful. Challenging, but, helpful.
I also got a new computer. My dad actually put it together, but it beats the constant humming sound of my laptop and the occasional fleeting fear that it is about to break. I have had my laptop since 2006 and it has been running strong ever since, but I desperately need a new one and don't have the money to buy one so my dad put together a desktop for me (he's really into computers) so I was able to salvage everything on my computer before I lost it all again (thank goodness).
I have NOT been exercising, lol. With all of the above said. I did a yoga booty ballet dvd a couple of days ago, but I had gotten so out of shape from writing for the last week and a half that I couldn't make it past the first ten minutes.
I think I want to start walking. My home town is a beautiful place and I would love to explore it. I think that would be much better for me than trying to get in a Yoga Booty Ballet dvd every day. Now maybe I will try to sell my YBB dvds on ebay or something.
I have been eating my vegan diet, still, though. I have grown much more accustomed to it and have found many more things that I like to eat. Fruit popsicles and soy yogurt have become favorite treats of mine, as well as chocolate soy milk. I can eat dark chocolate, but not milk chocolate; I just haven't gotten around to buying any bars of pure dark chocolate. Plus, I tend not to like the more bitter tasting chocolate. I have always preferred milk chocolate, lol.
I'm going to go comment on your blogs and then get back to writing.
Big hugs,
Natalie
