Happy Birthday to Me :-D
Well, today's the day I turn 24. It's been a pretty good day so far, I went out with my dad and landed at Jamba Juice where I got an all fruit, dairy free, pomegranate smoothie that was enhanced with soy protein (in other words, it was vegan). It was sour and I can still feel it sticking to the back of my troat.
After that we went to Target and I got some bottled water (which I had just run out of), and some more food. It's absolutely astonishing how many foods have animal ingedients in them. I got orange juice, pita chips, frozen spinach with no sauce, frozen assorted veggies with garlic and herb sauce, pretzels, garden vegetable crackers, and pistachios. Talk about healthy. If I weren't doing this because I was disgusted with how animals are treated when the food is made, I know that I would be eating the way I used to.
I realized, as I was walking through the clothing department, that I haven't bought new clothes in so long from an actual store like target (I have had to buy them on ebay because of my budget and my size), that I don't own any clothes from a real store, because I have hated looking in the mirror so much. Even my undergarmets. They are all from ebay. (the magic of a measuring tape, huh?)
I am saving all of my leftover money each month (that I don't spend on bills and rent) to buy clothes once I reach my goal weight. I have approx. 200-300 dollars left over each month if I don't buy anything other than food (which my parents graciously pay for) or necessities like toothpaste and shampoo. I am hoping to have a minimum of 1,000 dollars saved by the time I reach my goal weight; though I have no time limit on when I reach it, so I could go on a major shopping spree for clothes sometime next year, depending on how long it takes me! (hey, an actual inspiration to lose weight slowly, lol!)
I really do think this is going to be a great year for me. Here's to year 24!
Big hugs,
Natalie
