One week to my B-Day

A week from today I turn 24. This year has gone by so quickly. To be honest, it has been one of the best years of my life. I moved into my own apartment, this was one of the first years of my adult life where I have had control over my own life, I have my characters and my writing (without whom I would not be sane), and I am finally starting on my road to independence, which I have been struggling over since my adolescence.

For my birthday, I am going out to dinner with my family. I considered going to Disneyland or some big theme park, but I realized that I have just grown out of those places. I feel a lot older than just 24; I feel more like 34. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than being 34 and feeling 24... I feel older because I just don't fit in with people my age. I tend to be interested in different things than they are, like History and Culture, Victorian and Edwardian period paintings, Movies (...movies and more movies), Reborning Baby Dolls (taking baby doll kits, painting them, adding hair and eyes and making them look like real babies), not to mention the internet and oh, the fact that I like older men (Like Clint Eastwood and Sean Bean, I think they're great... Basically, I don't care at all about age and don't think anyone is old.)

So here comes 24. I'm looking forward to it. I have a good feeling about next year!
