Not a Happy New Year Post:

How is it possible that I've actually GAINED 2lbs this week?  I started exercising again, being quite careful of food portions, and I have this amazing new motivation with a finite goal in mind.

So....naturally, I've GAINED weight.  Yuck!

Maybe it's just so I started the New Year out feeling a bit less cocky...?

Word of the day:  Persevere!

Comments to this post:

no worries :)

muscle gain? :)

or maybe it's just you are retaining more water.
if you did what you did there is nothing to worry about!
i would be more worried if i ate and actually lost some weight...lol...cos i knew it will hit me sooner or later...just like a weight lose will hit you :)

good luck!

.

Hang in there!  Sometimes the results of our efforts do not show up on the scale right away.

Rewards (losses) not showing up in the weeks we think we earned them
Gains showing up when we're doing good

It's got to be retention of some kind....

Never...

Never gauge your results by the scale reading on any single day... good or bad.  So many factors could be at work.

Take a deep breath and revisit the scale in a few days.  In the meantime... don't sweat it.  You did the work and the scale will eventually reward you will that well deserved loss.

Hey!

I "ditto" what the others have said.  Just hang in there, be good tomorrow and the next day.  That weight WILL come off if you're just patient.  It DOES sound like water weight.      If you keep at it, you just might lose a bunch the next time you weigh.
