The After-Baby Bounceback

Hello everyone!  I'mmmm  baaaaaaccckkk!!!  Well, I can now say I am the proud mother of a handsome and awesome baby boy named Jackson.  He is the smartest, cutest, and happiest little boy that I have ever met.  Just to catch you all up on what I have been up to, I had Jax in April '07 and have been a SAHM until the beginning of November '07.  I graduated with my Masters in Speech Language Pathlogy 2 weeks after giving birth and am finally working in my field as a therapist (part-time). 

In the 10 months of being pregnant and the 6 months of being at home, I have unfortunately gained back a significant amount of weight back.  I am not in "horrible" condition (only a 14-16), but before I became pregnant, I was wearing a size 12 and donated all the rest of my clothes that were too big.  Now I have a closet full of size 12s that I can't wear, and I don't want to buy new clothes, because I need to lose the weight and they are almost brand new!  With that said, I have devised a new workout plan and goals for the next 4 weeks.  Here we go....

Awwww Baby!

So I know I haven't been around in like forever!  I reported my last phenomonal weigh in and now, I come to you weighing 8# more than last Saturday, but I have a great reason...

I AM GOING TO BE A MOMMY!!!

I found out last Monday that I am about 2 months pregnant.  Hubby and I are very exicted, although this was not planned.  We see it as a blessing of our love.  I am due around the first week of April.

I have been advised by my doc to forego Turbo Jam, so I will take up Walk Away the Pounds to keep things in order.  I am so nervous because I have been trying hard for 2 years to lose weight and as soon as I have a handle on it, I have to let it go and eat more.  I know to eat the right things, but just eat more of them.  I need clear cut guidelines!!!  I know how much to eat to lose, but don't know how much to eat to be healthy and grow a baby!  I have to admit, I did indulge last week which is why my weight jumped.  I ate restaurant food like everyday, something that I had never done in the past.  I had french fries for the first time in heavens knows how long!

Anyway, that is my news and I will check back for comments and make updates, but not that often.  Seeing as this is a weightloss blog, and I am doing the exact opposite, I guess it would be counterintuitive.

Oh Yeah!!

I told you all I was back on track!  Down 2.5# this week!!  Very excited about that!  I guess I have some makeup from last week.  I have 6.5# till my Shox and 18.5 till goal!  I can't believe it!  I am going to push really hard this week because I want to hit the 150's next week!  I will come back and post more, gotta get ready for a wedding.

Back on Track - Shox Poll

I likey likey the new changes here on extrapounds, but what happened to my flippin' toolbar???  Anyway, nothing to fuss over!  I am back on track!  I worked out Monday, Tuesday I did 20 min. and Booty Sculpt Abs, and yesterday I did YBB-Cardio Cabaret.  I must admit YBB was a nice relaxing change, but I did work up quite a sweat.  I only burned 178 calories/1 AP, but it was a rest day and I moved my body anyway.

So, I am only 9 lbs. away from my Shockalicious Shox, and I came up with a great idea!  I will have them custom made!  It costs about the same for the regular ones, and these would be something extremely special because I made them specifically for meeting my goal.  I have added links to the 2 pairs I customized.  When you click on the link, it will say that they are sold out, but just click the one that says,  "continue designing and save".  Let me know which ones you think look the best.  I picked pink, orange, and white (fuschia/tangerine) because those were my wedding colors and they just look cute!  I still have some time to save some money, but one pair will be mine!!!

Tonight is CP3 and Turbo Sculpt.  Big calorie burn and lots of energy.  I pray that I have enough strength and energy for both!  Wish me the best and I'll let you know the outcome tomorrow.

 

The Sleepy Slacker

Nothing much to report today.  Weight didn't change over the weekend, thank goodness.  Was a complete slacker last week and only TJ 2x.  This weekend we had a bridal shower for my cousin and an impromptu BBQ, so I didn't count or exercise.  I know, I know, bad bad girl!  But, I am back on track!  Tonight is CP3, my fav, and I plan to rock out with my... well nevermind... ;)

I did keep up with my posting and blogging though, and managed to burn1000 and some change calories, but not enough to make a change.

This month is seeming to fly by!  I can't believe there are only 2 more weeks left in this month!  Just to document, I have changed my goal date to Oct. 28th.  That is the day of my Halloween party and I want to be something downright sexy!  I don't know if I will make that goal, but I will damn sure try!

P.S.  I am very sleepy.... ;(

Moody Bluez, Party of One

Last night I didn't feel like doing TJ, I felt like a go-go dancer.  Instead of sweating it out like I should have, I chose to don my patent leather knee boots and do a couple of numbers on my pole to the Pussycat Dolls.  Hey, the cd that made me procrastinate was gong to get some use!  So before I could get to dancing, the doorbell rings and it's the food delivery guy!  You should have seen the look on his face when he saw me in my tank top, short shorts, and knee boots!  Hi-Lar-Ri-Ous!!!  So I signed the receipt and promptly closed the door.  I know he went back to work and told everyone!

Anyway, I earned 2 APs, and had a salad for dinner, but when I weighed myself this morning (i do every morning, to keep myself accountable), I was up 1.5#!  I'm hoping it's water retention from using my arm and leg muscles to dance and spin.  Anyway, my official weigh in is tomorrow, so I am watching my intake today and will definitely work out tonight when I get home!

Last thing, I didn't sleep all that well last night.  I had weird intertwining dreams of my ex, an ex-best friend, and of a teacher whose class just finished.  There wasn't any weird relationship or anything like that, it's just that I was in a sequence with my ex (who I haven't talked to in like 5 years), another sequence with my ex-best (who I haven't spoken with in like a year), and my teacher, whose test I ended up missing by talking to the above mentioned people.  It was crazy, so sleep was not the best.

Anyway, I am in a mood, sleepy, and kinda sad.  I just want this day to be over...

On the Brink of Delerium

You all know what a procrastinator I am, well this time it is affecting my mood and energy!  I have a paper and presentation due today that I didn't start working on until last night.  I got about 2 pages of the paper done (only had to be 5) then decided that downloading the Pussycat Dolls cd would be more productive.  I completed the cd, not my paper or presentation, and turned into bed at about 11 last night.  I did wake up at 5 to do more of the paper and got to page 4.  I then got ready for work and figured I would finish the rest at my desk. 

I HAVE BEEN SWAMPED WITH ACTUAL WORK AND MEETINGS!!!!!  I digress...

So I finally get the paper done, did the handout for the presentation and my energy is spent!  Tonight is the last night of class for the semster and all I want to do is sleep!  I have CP1 on tap for tonight, but I am beat already.  I don't want to chalk up another workout, but I may have to to replenish my mental and physical stability.

I need help... ;)  Nevermind, here come the little green men on pink elephants...

No Time, No Time!!!

No time to write a novel today.  Once again I have a test tonight that I have not studied for (got a B on the last one :)) plus I have to write a 5 page paper that is due on Wednesday that I haven't thought to start on!

I lost 1.5 this past week.  Super excited about that!  And I managed to meet my mini-goals for the week.

Tonight is CP2 and Ab Jam.  I have only done CP2 once, so this will be like a brand new workout!

P.S.  I love the Lower Body Sculpt, but boy does my booty hurt!!!

Working From Home

Afternoon all!  So I had the pleasure of working from home today.  I was able to workout on my lunch hour, which is a first!!!  Seeing as how I was working in my pjs, all I had to do was change into my workout gear and hop to it!  It was great!!!  I was able to workout and take a shower and I am back to working.  This had to be the most productive lunch ever!

I did PKJ and it was a little tough!  I hadn't worked out since the first day of the rotation, which was Tuesday.  Wednesday was a rest day and I took it, cuz hubby was sick, but last night, I was just tired and chalked it up as a loss.  Today I plan to do another workout this evening to make up for last night.  I have WI tomorrow, and I hope that I am down something even though I would have only banked 3 workouts before Saturday.  I think I may adjust my workout schedule to go from Saturday to Saturday instead of Tuesday to Tuesday.  I will be off from the rest of my WW buddies, but it's okay.

Tomorrow I am going to go pick up my bridesmaid's dress for my cousin's wedding.  I fitted for it at the end of April and that was before I started TJ, so hopefully, the dress will be too big and they will have to take it in.  I ordered a size 16 I think, and I have lost some inches since then.  I am going to get the lady to measure me again and compare it to the measurements taken in April.

I think I have written enough.  Are blog entries supposed to be short?  Oh well, I love to talk and writing is second... ;)

P.S.  I found out that you can't post sliders from other sites on this blog, so my entry called Shox Goal! will just be some numbers.  How boring is that!
