Coming up...

...the fourth of July.  That will be a challenge in the food department.  I find it hard for holidays, since there is so much food around.  We are having family over.  So we are making hamburgers and hotdogs.  Then in the evening we will pop fireworks.  The kids will love that.  I will let them have their friends over for dessert and fireworks.I don't think the neighborhood is putting on a fireworks display this year.  So today, I am watering the yard really well, in case of stray fireworks, or bottle rockets.  The kids have minimal activities this week, so they are chomping on the bit to do something.  I am back up two lbs.  but still under goal weight , I need to bring it down by Monday, or I will weigh in on Tuesday.  We will see.  I can't believe July is here already.  The summer is aobut  one third over.    Well I  am sending you all good vibes for a fun and clean eating fourth.

And he's back....

...my son that is.  Made it back from University of North Carolina for basketball camp.  It sounds like he had a blast over there.  He flew all by himself and went to camp by himself.  He said he would like to go next year again.  Today he has summer league, they will play 2 games.  DD has a friend's bday party and ds1 and  ds2 has strengthening and conditioning today.  Then they have next week off, which I don't know if that will be a good or bad thing.  running and weight lifting the last three weeks M-Th, and then a week off.  The following week back at it will be tough. 

I am going to paint the boys' tub/toilet area.  It is very small, but intricate.  I will need to use some skinny brushes.   I will get the paint this morning and when ds2 and dd are at VBS, hopefully I can get it done.  We will see.  Then to paint the boys bedrooms.  That will take longer.  Ds2 has wanted curtains to block out the sun, so I have some that maybe I will line.  He wants athenian green in his room.  He is my artistic child and wanted stripes, but he is just getting plain.  Ds1's room still has the former owners nursery border.  I think he is going to go with a blue. 

On the weight loss front.  It has been hard to avoid the bad foods.  I have been wanting to eat to eat.  I am working on not feeling deprived.  I am hoping for a loss, but this week I keep going up, I am staying within 21-24 points, which I have been counting my WPAs, but I don't know what is going on.  On the daily plate, I have been logging my foood.  I have to work on sodium and protein.  It seems that I am over in those two areas.  I don't even feel like I am getting that much protein, but maybe that is why I am going up.  I don't know.  I have upped the fruits.  I will keep working on it.  Do well, and keep your mind in order.

Back down

I lost 2.8 lbs. this week!  yea!  I still would like to be closer to 140, but I am okay with 144.  I did want to go to James Coney Island yesterday, but am now glad that we didn't .  That much closer.  Wel, I hope you all are doing well on the battle of losing.  Better go and fold some clothes and put more in the laundry, poosibly get a nap in.

And he's off...

...Ds1, that is.  We just took him to the airport and he on the way to basketball camp.  Going to another state all by himself.  Wow, hope he has a great time at his camp.  It should be a great experience for him. 

We had McD at the airport.  I had an egg mcmuffin, about 1/3 of a hashbrown and a coffee, with cream and splenda.  I am hoping that wasn't too bad.  I had some grapes this morning too.  I will have to figure that out.

I walked 14 5/8 miles this week at the mall.  But I haven't had any significant loss on the scale.  Maybe a portion of a pound.  I need more fruits.  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

 

Reality sets in

I gained 4.6 lbs this last week.  I had a hard time wrapping my head around that thought.  What  a terrible time.  I did walk two miles for 3 days, but I did have things that I normally don't have.  Like trail mix, evil, cheeseburger, evil, chips, double evil, queso with chips, double evil and bread.  I also went to La Madeleine, I had an omelet, that was egg substitute, but you never know how they actually cook it, plus a bagette.  I also had Chick filet, grilled chicken on that harvest bread.  I thought it would be good for me, evidently not.  Also I had dessert yesterday in honor of Father's day.  So today, I am going to start journalling.  I am going to stay within 20 points daily.  I am still at my goal weight, which is 147, but I like to be under that for wiggle room.  So my goal is for wiggle room.  I want to lose again toward 140 lbs.  Please send me losing vibes my way, and you will be blessed with losing vibes too!!!  Let's lose this weight

It has been a while

Okay, I need to get back on track and start journaling.  I did some major weight gain this week..  I don't know what exactly is going on.  I know I am not drinking enough water.  I will get back to that, and I am sneaking food.  Plus, this weekend, I had a hamburger, chips, bread, desserts, trail mix,  I have been really out of control.  Soooooo....... today I am going to weigh in, I wasn't going to, but maybe it will scare me straight.  I have probably added 7-8 pounds.  This has to stop.  I will update later today and get my thinking straight.  I know I cannot eat mindlessly.  I don't know why I am doing this.  Lord, I pray that you help me through this tough time, I cannot do this by myself.  Please help me.

Went to WI

I gained .4, which is not bad, since I had put on about 4 the week before from eating brisket, potato salad, fritos, going to a buffet, and having real dessert.  It was fun, but now I am back on track!  My summer goal is to stay 3-7 lbs below my goal weight of 147.  I know it will be a little hard since the kids are around.  Actually, they are going to be pretty busy this summer.  Dd has already been to Girl Scout camp and now she and ds2 are participating in a ROPES camp for three days.  It is just three hours, M-W.  Ds1 is volunteering to help as counselor.   Next week ds2 and dd have religion classes in the morning.  DD is taking and DS2 is teaching.  Well, all for now.  I will try and check on you all soon.

June? How did that happen?

Well, time will not slow down for us, just because it is summer.  It is only going to get faster.  Ds1 is working as a lifeguard, volunteering for ROPES, scholar class, playing basketball, strength and conditioning SAC camp, going to Univ. of North Carolina for basketball camp.  Ds2 is going to SAC, volunteering at church, painting for work, cutting lawns ROPES.  Dd is doing tumbling, VBS, Sonshine Days, and ROPES.  We will swim at the neighborhood pools when we have a chance!  Well, I am off to church, I am WI ing tomorrow.  Wish me luck!!!

School is almost out

Okay, this last week was good on the weight loss front, but I think that it is due to stress.  All the kids are going through some major trials.  I have been praying for each of them.  I hope that these trials end soon.  Please pray for God's protection for each of them.  Tomorrow, I am at the high school to distribute exemption cards for finals.  They could possibly exempt from all their finals if they pass their TAKS tests.  That would be nice!!  Well, I have been so behind on answering back.  I do read your blogs and your inspiration helps me stay on track.  Thank you so much for that, I couldn't do it without you.  Keep your eyes focused on the goal. 

Up a bit...

...but that is okay.  I do have to watch it though, especially this month.  Tonight we went to ds1's sports banquet.  It was nice and Carrabas catered.  I know that was probably not low cal.  Thursday, I have a Volunteer appreciation luncheon at the high school and on Friday an appreciation breakfast at the elementary.  I know the middle school will have something also.  Then the district level luncheon will be held on the 22nd of this month.  Plus Mother's Day is this weekend.  The kids have about 18 days to go.  Ds1 has less due to final exemptions.  I did walk 2 miles on Sunday.  Hope you all are having good vibes and many losses.  I will check up on you tomorrow.
