Monday 10/6
Great day!
Didn't have breakfast because I woke up a little late but I had a burrito from Chipotle (rice, black beans, salsa, a little shredded cheese and shredded chicken in a flour tortilla). Then for dinner I had shake and bake chicken, rice, and corn. Then I rode my bike a few miles and walked with my dog a mile and a half.
I feel good about today! Great job! You can totally do it!!

Weekend Drama
I didn't really pay attention to what I ate over the weekend. I have a hard time eating right on the weekend for some reason.
Friday I went and ate at this mexican place with my boyfriend (where we first me). I drank a lot of beer, ate chips and salsa and had rice, beans, a chicken burrito and a chicken enchilada. The burrito was tiny though.
Saturday I had a roast beef sub with mayo, oil and vinegar while watching football.....with a huge cherry coke. Later that evening we had a cookout and I had two hot dogs, a cheeseburger and chips with french onion dip. I also drank nearly an entire bottle of limonchello (liquor) mixed with Simply Lemonade...then I had probably 4 or 5 beers.
I know it sounds like I am a total lush but this was spread out over a long period of time. I did get a little exercise in by dancing at the club we went to last night!
Today I had a huge pork bbq sandwich on buttery texas toast and mac and cheese with a huge coke. Actually the combination of all that lemon from the night before and the bbq made my stomach burn so bad for most of the day. I had to lay down and take a nap it was awful. So all I had for dinner was rice and a hot dog from yesterday.
I will do better this week.
Goal for the week: workout everyday for at least 30 minutes. I CAN DO IT!

Hamburger pizza attacks village NO CASUALTIES
Ha. So last night my boyfriend just had to go out and eat. We got to the restaurant and found out it was half price wine night. I had a glass of white zinfandel then another and another. I had three glasses total and I ordered grilled tilapia with roasted potatoes and green beans. It looked healthy on the menu and it was pretty healthy but I think it had a little too much butter. Needless to say, after all that wine I didn't work out.
Today my mom and I went to eat at this little pizza place for lunch. This place has always been my favorite pizza place. We split a chef salad with light ranch dressing but we also ordered a large half hamburger half pepperoni pizza. It was one of those round pizzas cut into small squares. I'd say I had at least 7 pieces which I feel is excessive. However, if it were cut into regular triangles it would be more like 3 pieces. (I have to try and rationalize it in my mind).
The point is I feel like I have had two kinda slip days. The good thing is I feel okay about it. It happens. You just have to get up, dust yourself off and continue. This is new for me because usually I would obsess over something like this. I went for a 1.5 mile walk when I got home this evening so I feel okay.
Tomorrow is a new day!

One day down the rest of my life to go
Whew hoo! The first day went well I did everything I said I would (including the walk which was a little scary since I got home after dark because of a meeting at work) which felt REALLY good.
However, since my snacks weren't planned out I had a pack of cheese on wheat crackers which aren't the healthiest (or unhealthiest) snack.
I was really proud of my self at a meeting we had after work because a couple people ordered Chinese food and I did not. I did however try one fried dumpling because I had never had one (It was okay).
I am really hard on my self about all sorts of things but food is a big issue for me. I get stuck in that viscous cycle where you eat something bad for you so you beat yourself up and eat even more bad foods.
Today has gone well so far too. I had a Special K meal bar for breakfast then for lunch I had to eat on campus because when I went to make a sandwich this morning I found the bread had mold on it. I ordered a chicken caesar wrap sans the dressing with hummus on the side. That's fairly healthy.
Healthy dinner here I come!

I'll start tomorrow. NO, I'll start today!
So I have been having trouble losing weight for the last.....year and a half. Actually, it's not that I have had trouble losing it's that I've had trouble trying. Truth is two and half years ago I started dating a guy who was in great shape, I was't at my ideal weight but I was 30 pounds lighter than I am today. Together we ate and ate and ate and eventually stopped going to the gym. We also like to drink beer. All that combined we gain over 80 pounds between the two of us. He gained over 50 pounds and I gained a little more than 30.
I have tried several things but I never stick to any of them. I am ready to do this! I will be 30 in December and I graduate from college in May. I want to lost 30-40 pounds by May. Don't get me wrong though I don't want to lose the weight fast I want to lose it slow and healthy so it will stay off. I figure the average weight loss per week is 2 pounds give or take a good/bad week. There are 31 weeks between now and May 1 (2x31=62) so I should be able to lose 35 pounds in a healthy way by then.
My plan for tomorrow is:
Breakfast: Special K meal bar with bottled water
Snack:
Lunch: Sandwich with deli ham (no mayo) 100 calorie pack of Sun Chips, low fat string cheese
Snack:
Dinner: Grilled chicken and a veggie
In the evening I plan to take the dog for a walk around the block that's a 1.5 miles and she pulls me so I'll practically be running.
I have no idea what I'll have for a snack as of yet. Maybe I banana in the morning but I don't know about the afternoon.
If anyone has any ideas please send them my way.

Failure
Oh my goodness! I don't know what"s wrong with me...I do okay with breakfast and lunch usually. Dinner on the other hand is always out of control. I thinks it's because I don't eat an afternoon snack so I get so hungry I eat way too much when I get home. Tonight for dinner I had three fried pork chops and a mound of mash potatoes. I feel so bad about myself now!

HELLO
So I was on here in late 2006 and I just updated my weight and realized I had gained an additional 17 pounds! I can't believe it. I have my work cut out for me but I know I can do it if I can just put my mind to it and focus. I am usually an instant gratification kind of gal so it's hard. REALLY hard.
