I hope that everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!! I was wondering if anyone is currently using Alli or if anyone has tried it. Please let me know how it worked for you.

hey there, i'm actually a pharmacy tech and have heard a lot about this from my co-workers (all pharmacists) throughout the past few weeks. what alli is is actually an otc version of the prescription drug xenical. it's only half the strength of the prescription version. it doesn't have some scary side effects like other weight loss drugs (stacker, etc.) but it does have some embarrassing ones. what is does is bind the fat in your body and then you get rid of it through elimination. if you eat too much fat at one meal, you'll end up with some embarrassing side effects (uncontrollable gas, diarrhea....eek) sorry to be blunt but i just want you to know about that. it's also really expensive, and even the prescription version didn't really help people when they tested it in clinical trials. hope this helps.
You seem to be doing really good.....getting right on down and cruising through ONEDERLAND.... I have heard of Alli and there actually is someone on this site who is on the Alli programs and doing really well. I think her screen name is ALLI, do a search on it. my sister and aunt are both using alli. (i havent seen any major weight loss yet) sparkpeople. com had an interesting article about the mediation. i am too afraid of the side effects. lol. i am sorry that i have not been around. i fell off the wagon big time. i am back. i hope that are doing well. kelly
