Before After

The Wedding Dress

So, Saturday night I was watching an episode of the Biggest Loser on some channel (not NBC) and they were showing what I guess is an older episode of TBL.  I don't even know if it's this season's or not, but it was the one where Nicole was eliminated.  They then showed her trying on wedding gowns after elimination and when they showed her comparison pic going from a size 24 to a size 16 gown, I just lost it!  I don't know what came over me all of a sudden--I was crying like a baby!   So I just prayed and poured my heart out of God and confessed that I cannot do this by myself.  I am going to need His love and kindness to get through this.

I then had the idea that I would love to go to some sort of "boot camp" in order to get a jumpstart on my weight loss.  I did a little research and found a camp in the mountains of N.C. called Wellspring. It looks like it will be great fun....until I looked at the price.  Almost $4000 for 8 days?!?  Don't think so!!!!   So if anyone knows of anything similar for much less dinero, let me know!  I'm up for the challenge.

Well, it's Monday.  We all know what reputation Monday has--start-over day!  I'm just going to do the best I can do.  I plan to go running during my lunch break (can you say sweaty mess?!).  I'm still not eating much meat and I'm going to do my absolute best to cut down eating sweets dramatically!  (Pray for me, especially since TOM's here!  )

Have a great day!

Nicole

That IS this season.  But guess what?  She got to come back last week.  (Got voted off again.)  And she was in a SIZE 12 wedding dress.  Her goal was to be in an 8.

You CAN do this!  I would love to go to "boot camp" too.  But, yeah, they are way pricey!  Let me know if you find a good semi-cheap one.  (Still can't afford it, but whatever.)  :-)

:)

Why not create your own little mini boot camp at home?

Set up mini challenges every day for a week, month or longer depending on what you set your goal to be. You can have a walk/bike day where you try to achieve a certain amount of miles/kilometers in a specific time frame or don't set a time frame at all, just aim to complete the miles/km's set. Or a weight day if you have free weights at home or live near a local gym or YMCA, where you can weight lift with a specific pound setting for the moves of your (pre-decided) choice for a set period of time. Maybe go swimming and set a time or lap goal. You can do anything you put your mind to and I can guarantee it'll probably cost a 10th or less of what they charge at that retreat.

I am in no way knocking the validity of the retreat, it looks quiet interesting but as you pointed out yourself, not many people can afford such an experience. So sit down and create your own. You could enlist the help of a significant other, sibling, parent or friend. Someone who can offer support, encouragement and understanding, as well as being a hard pushing motivator when you start to slack and need a kick in the pants. It's always good to have someone in your corner that'll lend a helping hand and be brutally honest when you need it.

Anyways, it's just a suggestion.

Hope you have a great day!

You can do it

First off you have to eat meat.  You need the protein for fuel and for your muscles.  Secondly have you tried looking into your local community centers?  Maybe they have a tae-bo class or some type of class that you haven't taken that will help to jump start your body.  Keep the faith I am sure that you will find some thing to get you.

.

That was a great episode.  Just this last weeks' so it will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow night.

HUGS - I hope you can find a program to get into for exercise/boot camp

hi

That was so awesome that Nicole got into that gorgeous dress! She's gonna be a beautiful bride! She was just beaming!

You'll get there, M! Just keep on keeping on. You don't need no expensive boot camp. Check out the YMCA or something.

$4000

That's INSANE!! That's how I felt this past summer when the PT wanted almost $300 per session that only lasts an hour!!!

I just youtubed work outs and googled workouts and also went to health.com and websites of the sort for work out tips and did that. I hope you find something dear!
I am actively praying for you. Don't I know how hard this journey is!

Boot Camp!

Sounds like fun too bad they cost too much!

This journey is a tough one but we got to stick it out and know that it will be worth it once we reach our goal!

As far as the meat situation just make sure that your replacing your meat with other types of protein such as legumes, beans, tofu and "meat substitutes" if you happen to try any of them. Becareful there are good ones and bad substitutes out their so make sure you read the labels.
