Week 7, Day 6 - Smokin'
Good morning! Well, it's good (or maybe even great) for those of us who aren't running a fever. My oldest was sent home a bit early from daycare yesterday, so we're all at home today.
What makes it such a great day when I have sick kids? A couple of things really. First, I got on the scale this morning and (ever so briefly) saw 199. Then I moved it off of the kleenex and it registered an average of 203.2 after 5 attempts to get it to read the same number twice...think I need a new battery. But anyway, YAY! That's even after I totally cheated for dinner last night (pizza delivery). I'm ready to get on the scale tomorrow at the Smart for Life center. I'm finally going to show a great loss again!
Great thing #2 is that this afternoon (assuming no fever and a girl who is feeling better) I take my girl to her first pre-Kindergarten get together at the primary school where she'll be starting in the fall. I don't get to stay, but I'm hoping she has a good time. Today, they're going to meet the school nurse and sit in a classroom. Hey, that's exciting stuff when you're 4½!!
Great thing #3 is that I'm just generally excited. It takes a lot for me to get really excited!! And I mean genuinely excited...not the fakey-fake "I feel great" stuff.
Last night I met with the local District Manager from a company called Jewels by Park Lane. I decided to sign up as a fashion director with them and I will be hosting my first show on March 1st!! Eeeeeeeee!! Now I just have to figure out how many people I want to invite and put together my guest list.
If you have ANY experience with a direct selling company, you've gotta listen to this. Jewels by Park Lane will bring you in at a level that is equal to the higest you ever got to with any other company! Whether it was yesterday or 20 years ago...seriously! I was with a particular "nutrition" company back in college and debted my way to "supervisor" with 2 people under me. I won't start at the bottom with Jewels by Park Lane!! They're also all but giving me $2,000 worth of jewelry to use as samples. Those two things right there are simply unheard of with any other company in the entire direct selling/party plan/network marketing/mlm industry. Oh, and on top of everything else, the hostess program is outrageously awesome AND they have a customer program. Almost no one will ever pay full price for anything.
Anyhow, that's my shameless plug. You can email me if you're interested in hearing more about the company, hostessing a show (live or catalog), or just shopping.
