Week 6, Day 3 - Where Did This Energy Come From?
Okay, so...
one Elliptical (finally - permanently? - fixed)
one Swiss ball
two 3-pound weights
= complete silliness
I got a burst of energy and had to use it constructively before I lost it. Did 15 minutes on the elliptical. Then I got out the weights and balance ball for some upper body work and a few crunches. None of it was smooth, and I probably had crappy form because my oldest girl wanted to do everything with me (ugh! gonna have to get some mock weights for her because I don't want her actually lifting anything for many years). After I finished, I managed to find a book I bought two years ago, Swiss Ball for Total Fitness by James Milligan. It comes with instructions for 6 different 20-minute routines (3 beginner/intermediate and 3 advanced).
I'm going to aim for 3 days a week of the balance/toning routine and 2-3 days of 15-20 minutes on the elliptical. Until I talk to the doctor about it on Thursday, I'll add an extra cookie right after my workouts. I have this overwhelming need to MOVE. Gotta do something about it.
