Ready to Commit and Stick to It
Hey EP friends! :) I know it's been a looong while but I'm still here and kicking. I'm sad to report that I haven't lost one pound since September. But I haven't gained one either. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. As most of you know, I travel quite a bit for work. During 2008-early 2009 I got in a groove and was even exercising on the road. Well since my accident in May 2009, I fell off. In 2009 alone I flew over 120,000 miles and between that and physical therapy I just didn't put myself first. I'm actually shocked that I didn't gain (still ate relatively okay) and still wear the same size.
With all of that said, I am ready to actually commit to a healthier lifestyle and not a quick fix. I've lost it before and I can lose it (and keep it off) again. And that holds true for ANYONE out there reading this who feels like they have to 'start over.' Pinpointing my slip ups have made it easier to know where I'm headed. I was blessed with my job- on October 23rd I was granted work from home status. Of course due to my hectic travel schedule, I didn't really get to 'work from home' until about mid-November. But I thank God for this reprieve because this opportunity allows me to have no excuses when it comes to my exercise routine. When I'm not on the road, having the ability to work from home lets me get up early (even as late as 6:00-6:30) and hit the gym. Whereas before my commute was 100 miles EACH WAY to the office. God is good. I would be doing HIM and myself a disservice not to use this to take care of my temple.
I've booked all of my January flights and hotels and including weekends, I will be home for 20 days this month. I can get back on track and I will let you all know how I progress. I don't have a goal in mind yet (i.e. I want to lose 10 pounds this month). My main goal is to clean up my diet and begin consistent exercise again. We all know that will yield some type of results.
I have missed posting here and I'm going to go catch up on all of your progress. Thank you for always encouraging me and I hope to do the same for you.
~Kim~
