Friday Weigh In - 5 lbs down
TODAY, I recognize and stop "diet mentality".
Diet mentality goes like this, "I ate this... or I didn't do that...so I've blown the day, so I might as well overeat and I'll start over again tomorrow or Monday or next month" etc, etc, blah blah blah! Each second is a new beginning, a fresh start for me. I will focus on that and diet mentality will fade away.
Friday's way in went better than I had anticipated. I lost 5 lbs this week! HOORAH! I had went off the Kimkin's plan Wednesday evening and binged like food was going out of style. But, I did start over again the next day as if Wednesday evening never happened. No more beating myself up for being human. All human's are capable of not being perfect, even more so when the thing that you slip up on is an addiction, like my food addiction.
I hope hope you all have a great weekend and keep on losin'!
Be Blessed...

Friday Weigh In - Whew!
TODAY I am willing to look at what emotions I have been stuffing down with food.
You don't need to DO anything, just be willing to change and heal the old wounds and nature should take it's course.
The good news is I lost 7 lbs. this week! What a relief. I gained 9 lbs 2 weeks ago with no problemo. Taking the weight off this week took alot of determination. Especially around the junk food DH has bought into this house and enjoyed in front of me while I ate sugar free Jello.
But I will be happy and continue on the right path until eating right because a habit.
Be Blessed...

Friday Weigh In - BUSTED!!!
I am late getting my weigh-in posted because of embarrassment as well as number shock! (not in a good way) Let me get it over with, I GAINED NINE POUNDS in one week. Unfreakinbelieveable!! I do know why I gained so much. I ate and ate and ate all week long. My hubby was on vacation all week and I succumbed to every delightful yummy he bought into the house and more. No excuses... just being a pig. Can you imagine taking weeks to lose 9 lbs. and taking all of 1 week to gain it back. It makes me sick.
So now I am back on plan with Kimkins. My outlook is good as far as starting over.
I hope to report a good weight loss next week. I hope you all have a happy and healthy week.
Much Love,

Friday Weigh In
TODAY I WILL MINIMIZE MY SUGAR.
A Swedish study, which looked at 64,500 people, linked raised blood sugar with pancreas, skin, womb and urinary tract cancers in women. The average American consumes as much as 175 lbs. Yikes!
When I read that I was floored! Can you imagine how much sugar I consume yearly if the "average" consumer consumes 175 lbs yearly?
Back to some good news! I stepped on the scale this morning totally expecting to stay the same or even to have gained a lb or two but to my surprised I lost 2 lbs!!! You know I dodged a bullet because I cheated by devouring 3 fried Maryland crabcakes (my weakness) and a bowl of chicken and dumplings. BTW, anything crispy, crunchy are weaknesses. I'll take the 2 lbs. and run with it.
MY GOALS FOR THIS WEEK
Be aware of sugars in my food, including fruits;
Be more vigilant about getting walking in;
Be more of a support to so many bloggers that have helped me so much in this weight loss journey.
Have a Happy and Healthy week!

Have A Good Week!!
TODAY, I eat nothing from a bag.
That includes fast food, bakery items, popcorn and chips. It is said that simply avoiding bagged foods can cause significant health and lower weight.
I hope everyone had a good weekend. It rained most of the weekend. Usually with my way of thinking Homebound plus Rain equal Pig Out! Usually part of that pig out day would consist of sour cream and onion chips (love 'em), pizza (who doesn't love that?) and ice cream, need I say more? Well, Saturday I did pretty good except for a huge bowl of beef stew. Sunday I kept to the letter on my Kimkin's way of eating. This morning was on plan too.
So this week I promise to myself to stay on plan. Avoid my husband when he comes into the house with the Sam Club's bulk item of Frito Lays variety pack. He buys them once a month to add a package of chips to his lunch.
I hope you all have a happy and healthy week.
Be Blessed.....

Friday Weigh In - Week 5
TODAY, I choose to respect my body.
When I respect my body I don't put unhealthy foods and toxins in it. I give it the proper nutrition, water and exercise and I rest when my body needs it. This body has carried me around this far, don't I owe it respect?
I am so excited. I stepped on my scale this morning for my weekly weigh-in and I lost NINE pounds. I couldn't believe it so I called my hubby in to double check it and he said it was right. I just have to remember to respect my body and remember how good I feel right now and that will help to keep me focused and determined to make it to goal. I also will continue to depend on the awesome blogging friends I have made on EP. What a help!
So, I hope you all have great weigh-ins and a beautiful weekend.

Feeling Good
Have you ever noticed that when you are sticking to your diet and purposely doing something good for yourself that your home demeanor changes. Have you noticed that when you cheat or another diet fails you feel like crap even though you've stuffed yourself with junk food?
Well, I feel GOOD today and I've felt good since I began this diet. I have to try to hold on to that good feeling. When I see that slice of cheesecake, for example, I have to remember the times I've cried and tore myself apart after failing. You see, with me once I cheat, that's it for me. I make excuses and binge.
So, here's to feeling good about ourselves because it is sooooo worth it.

Friday Weigh In (week 4)
The skin I am in- with it's imperfections evidence of life and the years gone by. The skin I am in- radiant and beautiful from my chin to my shin. The skin I am in- tells the story why God chose me for my skin.
Good Day Blogging Friends.
It's hard to believe this is my fourth week of my diet. It doesn't seem that long. I hope that it's a good sign meaning I can do this no matter how long... as long as I attain my goals.
Good news!! I stepped on the scale this morning and to my surprise I lost 5 lbs! I can't tell you how happy this made me considering the 2 lb gain last week. This week I started the Kimkin's plan and cut way down on carbs. I suppose alot has to do with the low carbs. I am hoping and praying with good effort on my part, I can finally make into the 200's. That would be awesome for me and give me more motivation to stick to it.
I gotta get to work now but I want to thank you for your much appreciated support and wish you all a Happy Easter!!

Spring Has Sprung
TODAY, I make a Spring resolution.
I think the spring is a better time for a resolution than January 1st. Spring is full of new life and new energy and our commitments may have a better chance for success in this environment.
When I began here at EP I made the decision to lose weight but I did not make the COMMITMENT to follow through to goal. Well, it's the beginning of a beautiful season and I have more energy and positive thoughts about myself and I have officially committed to lose weight and to support others in my shoes through my experiences.
I am low carbing now the Kimkin way and although the first three days are killer hard, I am going to make it work. My husband and family are betting against me but that is only going to make me more determined to follow through.
Keepin' it real!
