Before After

9/2 - Weighed in = lost 2 lbs in 2 wks

Hey.

I haven't been on here for about two weeks, I think.  I've been knocked down healthwise, but I'm on the mend.  Besides a stomach virus, I hurt my back and couldn't do ANYTHING for a while.  But I'm up now and can do a little very light housework.  I'll be glad when I can exercise again and do good weight-loss food prep.

I've managed to lose 2 lbs. in the last couple of weeks.  (It's easy to lose when you can't get up to eat or snack anytime you want.  Ha-ha)

Anyways, back a few weeks or so ago, when I was keeping my two grandsons for five days, I took them bowling once.  It had been about 30 years since I had gone, and I'm telling you, my body felt COMPLETELY different!   I felt like I only had HALF the body that I used to have.  (So, this is what it feels like to be old and feeble!)  I asked the alley manager how old his oldest customer is - and he told me a 91 year-old woman!!!  Well.  If she can do it, so can I -- again --  someday, of course.

I've known for a long time that I need to re-develop all of my body's muscles.  I think that all of the "diets" that I've been on (plus years of not enough activity) has robbed me of muscle tissue.  Plus, I'm older, so my bones have gotten a little thinner, too.)

Well, when I went bowling, it REALLY hit home, in a BIG way, that I need to "bulk up."  So, I've decided to do muscle-building workouts three days a week - when my back gets better.  (Plus aerobics, as usual.)

Sorry if I've bored you.  That's just what's been on my mind lately.

Wishing you success!   Later.

I need to start muscle-building too

"Old and Feeble", NOTHING!  No you're not!  Look how much progress you've made already!

Best wishes in your continuing efforts.  That's a good idea re: strength-building.  I really need to "beef up" on that too.

Have a GREAT week!
