Going strong!!
Completed 4 days OP and the 5th has already started!! I feel great!! My scale didn't really show a difference this morning, even a small gain, but that has to do with the fact that I ran yesterday and didn't stretch. Silly me. I am really trying to work on not being so focused on the scale all the time. Perhaps I will just try to stay away from it untill wednesday next week, when I have my next weigh in. Wouldn't it be nice to see a really nice change then? That's what I am hoping for!
I did my c25k yesterday, week 3, and it felt good!! It's astounding to see what difference there already is in my constitution, and I can't wait to get it better!!
On Saturday, the 23rd, there's the Reykjavik marathon and my boss is encouraging everyone to take part. They offer 3, 10, 21 and 42 k. I think 3 might be fun, but I am not sure whether it's too early for me. I don't want to rush anything. Thoughts anybody?

Go for it :)
If you pace yourself and don't go nuts you should be okay - even if you don't finish it, at least you've given it a go.

Good for you
I am so happy to see you doing well. I know how important it is. Hey I think you should give it a try why not ? You don't have anything to lose. Good Luck and have a great weekend. Hey how are the boys doing?

Can you walk?
I mean, run some, walk some, run some, walk some. You'll finish!

Do it!!!!
No one says you have to run the whole thing!!! :) Since you are doing C25K you could run until you felt like walking. I know when me and my SIL did the 5k back in June there were a lot of people who only walked!

Hi!
Thanks for the comment and welcome back :))
I say go for it ..run till you feel like you need to walk and then run a bit more. I bet you will end up running a lot more than you think can ..just from the 'energy' of the whole event. :)

Go for it!
I hadn't finished C25K when I did my first 5K. I walked and jogged and had a ton of fun! I say go for it!

OP
Keep up the good work! Do you weigh yourself more than once a week? You'll probably feel better just doing that, so then you don't have to focus on little fluctuations here or there.
I don't know much about those walk/races. Maybe start with the 3k and see how it goes, since you won't be forced to run the whole way. Good exercise, too!
