Before After

I fit into NIKE PANTS!!!

Just made my latest milestone- I bought a pair of Nike workout pants!! (size XL of course but who cares??)

And they don't look bad - they are supposed to be a loose fit type.  Nobody needs to see this body in like tight tight pants that show EVERYTHING!!

I can't wait to go running tomorrow - 4.5 miles!!!

I am DETERMINED to lose weight this week!!! Good luck to everyone!

Stupid Easter Candy

Stupid Easter candy - why do you have to taste so good!!!  You caused me to NOT LOSE ANYTHING this week (at least I didn't gain).

It's all your fault!

And my TOM!!

And I was dehydrated!!!!

It wasn't my fault...for sure!!! (ha ha ha ha)......

10 K by Thanksgiving

hey everyone,

DH and I have officially decided to do the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving - the 10k!!!

We are already jogging 4 miles and are looking to extend that route to 4.5 miles.  I know we can make it.

Not only that, but I'll be even lighter than I am now and 6 miles will probably be a breeze by then!! (yeah right)......

Weigh-in tomorrow, don't know what the scale is going to say.  Let's just say DH and I didn't let the easter candy pass us by (since it is the last major candy/food day until halloween again!!! I know I shouldn't think that way).....

Crazy JC day

I'm calling yesterday "Crazy JC day".  I had a great first week back on JC - lost 6.5 pounds!!!!!!  Yeah!! I totally rock the party!!  I am back in business.  Next goal:  onederland!!

I also hit Halfway on JC.  Funny my consultant did not give me a manual and told me I only get 1-2 MEALS per week on my own.  I think she's wrong - I read in the original manual they first gave me it is more like 1-2 DAYS on my own.  Anyway, I don't care because I'm not really feeling like doing that this week.

Bought Valerie's book at the center last night as a reward for hitting halfway.

And as a bonus, they told me they are discontinuing carrying the Leslie Sansone DVD's and they gave me the power walk for free!!  Even though I'm way beyond a power walk, I'm going to give it to my MIL.  She's doing JC - lost 10 pounds and seems to be really happy.  Good for her!

In other crazy news, I am now running 4 miles at a time.  Go me!! My goal is to run a 10k (don't know if I'll ever do more than that).  I am seriously thinking about doing the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving.  My husband vows never EVER to do it, but I am going to sign up ha ha and he won't be able to resist!!!

Anyway - I haven't seen much updates from you all  - I hope all is going well!!

Back on JC

Keeping this short and sweet:

Hubby got a new job.  I'm back on Jenny Craig!  Gained a little weight but what the hay.....I did the best I could the past couple of weeks!

Not weighing in this week

I'm not weighing in this week - using my no-weigh in pass (with myself since I'm following WW but not going to the center).

This past week has been completely overwhelming with work (way too much of it), hubby (out of a job), friends (one in hospital, other one going out on disability), stuff (one of the cats finally found a way to tip over our glass kitchen table and now we have no kitchen table).  Not to mention I REALLY need to go for a run but the freaking WEATHER constantly sucks!!!

Potato chips were my friends this week (and not the only ones), and I bet they're sticking around longer than I want (on my thighs).  So - no weigh in this week - I just can't take seeing a gain.

Rant over.

I'm back on plan today.  Hope the scale was good to you all!!

57 pounds gone!

yay!! WW definitely works!   I have been "mentally plateau-ing" the past couple weeks, and have gone from weighing on the scale in full-up jeans to now weighing in my undies on a scale at home.  Both were helpful.  The real test will be next week!

Anyway I finally feel like I'm on track.  I'm trying to mirror JC food (though not the same).  I learned a lot of good habits, and learned how much I can eat and be full.  I definitely don't want to lose those!

Hope the scale was good to everyone!

Photos from Bolt Run Added

Hey everyone!  i just added the photos from the 5k race this morning - the "Bolt Run" for leukemia.  It is sponsored by the Tampa Bay Lightning (hockey).

We did really well (hubby and I).  I finished at 42 minutes 15 sec and hubby finished at 40 minutes.   That is really good for us.

My goal was to jog the entire race, and I did it!!  I almost, almost, almost stopped to walk (it was hot as blazes) but the thought of going into work on Sunday having to tell everyone that I didn't meet my goal was too much to bear and it kept me going!

I actually almost quit this entire thing - dieting, exercise (week has been challenging, to say the least).  But for some reason that weight loss boost (due mostly in part to me not wearing jeans to the weigh-in) changed my mind and now I'm all pumped to keep going.  That is by the grace of God only!!

Hope all is well with you!

Hello WW bye bye Jenny

So last night was the last night of Jenny.  Since this week has been "challenging" (dealing with hubby losing job) let's just say I didn't eat "total Jenny" this week.

However I cheated per se and instead of wearing jeans to the weigh-in, I wore workout pants and one of my nike dri-fit tops.  I think that attributes to most if not all of the almost 3 pound loss!

Hey - whatever works.  I still have some Jenny food leftover and now I'm counting points using the Jenny food.

Do you know that on the 1200 JC plan, I was eating 10 POINTS LESS??  Wow - I'm following WW to the letter this week, so we'll see if I gain or lose weight.

Big race tomorrow - I'm pumped.  Yesterday I finally came to terms with this situation and now I have a lot of energy (thankfully - I didn't want to go to the race feeling crappy).

I'm working on a new project at work that excites me, but is a lot of work so that has been a saving grace (keeps my mind off of other things - especially eating!)

Hope the scale was good to everyone!

Switching to WW

So I'm switching from JC to WW this week. Hubby lost his job and we are just going to cut back on everything until he gets another one (I'm very hopefuly - he is in finance type stuff).  Thank god we didn't really live beyond our means - we can still afford all of our bills and everything on my salary.

I'm kind of looking forward to it - I'm getting pretty bored with the Jenny food (though i still love the food!!).  I'm going to keep my membership renewed so I can go back when my hubby becomes employed (if we can).

I have success on Weight Watchers (lost 20 pounds on it by following the points) and since we joined WW several times over the past several years, I have all of the materials and don't have to join anywhere.

I realized this morning that the worst thing I can do is gain all this weight back!! (For one I'd have to buy new clothes).  My confidence level is at an all time high, and I need the stability that a food program gives me.  I need weight to NOT be an issue for me right now while we're trying to figure all of this out!!!

Good luck to everyone - I'm probably going to have a gain this week (we've been out to dinner, plowing into easter candy and extra snacks, etc).  But that is OK - Its ancient history and today is a new day!
