A month later...
Hallo! I'm back to write after a month...Thank to all my friends for their support!
Nothing happened about my weight: I'm still around 71/72 kilos! It was a very demanding time with my sweet daughter: she is growing and wanting my attention all day (and night) long...I'm trying to do my best, but I confess that I'm quite tired and needing some rest!
I also need to have my hair cutted and color done, to buy some new dress...Being a mom is not an easy work!

It's not easy..
being a new mom! I tend think that in those early months, anything you do over and above looking after your newborn, is a bonus. It can be hard though as you feel like you have lost your identity and now have this being that is so completely dependent on you. I felt so isolated when my first child was born - even with family around, I needed more stimulation. Finding a mothers and babies group was a godsend. Going from a working girl to married with baby, at home mom, in a relatively short time, my life changed so dramatically and i lost my circle of work friends. It's important to find a group of women who can now relate to your new life. Mom's and Tot's put me in touch with other women I could relate to and a way to move forward and feel understood. It's important to do things that make you still feel connected to yourself - like a cut and colour, or a facial, a soaking bath while your husband is on duty, or something else that you do just for you - even if it is only 10 minutes in a day. Try to do something every day.
They say that the most effective form of torture is sleep deprivation! So make sure that you can catch a nap whenever your babe sleeps. Everything else is superficial - the house doesn't have to be perfect, etc. Enjoy your little girl and don't try to be superwoman.

Hi
It is wonderful to hear from you again! Jacqui is right about the demands of being a mum. But it is really important to take just a little time for yourself sometime to recharge. You are doing an amazing job and deserve to be rewarded! Don't concern yourself too much with your diet, just do the best you can, and when things settle down and baby gives you a little bit more time, you can do a bit more. How old is your little girl now? Mine is just over 6 months old and changing all the time! I am not very good at ignoring mess. I have to really stop myself from cleaning instead of resting. But we can do it! Have a lovely day!
