Small loss...

Well, a small loss  (we weighed in at lunch time).   0.2 pounds, but I'll take it!  I know I did a much better job of exercising this week (I can feel it in my thighs). 

I did the Wii fit tonight for over a half hour and  I could definately feel it.  I did a mixture of yoga, strength, balance, and aerobic stuff, and my heart rate was up several times.  I think I'll really enjoy using it! 

This week's goals:

- Watch the days I over ate last time...plan ahead better, and If I don't have the points left...eat some tomatoes or other zero pt veggies.

- Workout most days with a mixture of walking. jogging and wii stuff.

- Watch my eating at a family get together on Saturday and don't go overboard! 

Exercising the week away!

Well, I said I wanted to get back on the exercise this week...who knew I'd be so sore after taking just a week off! 

Good news, I did finally get a wii and wii fit yesterday, so I have some other activities besides walking to mix it up with. 

So far this week I've....

walked 2 miles on Friday

walked 3.1 miles on Sunday

walked 2 miles on Monday (stroller)

walked 4 .2 miles Tuesday  night

So, it's been a good workout week, I know I'll be bummed if I have a gain this week (from building up muscle). But I can definitely feel it in my legs, so I know it's all for good! 

 

2nd 10%!!!!

Well, tonight, I made my 2nd 10%.  I've lost a total of 48 pounds since I started this journey in late February. 

It's hard to believe that 50# is right around the corner!  I didn't do a great job of working out this week.  I did some major gardening on Friday and Saturday and walked for 35 minutes on Tuesday on the treadmill.  But I still lost 2.4#.  Back on schedule for working out this week! 

 

 

Shop Shop Shop!

So, I've discovered a new passion...instead of eating junk ...I buy clothes!!  Now that I can wear a size 12 and large instead of an 18 and 1X or 2x, I find that I love all the different clothes I can wear. 

I'm a teacher so right now is back to school wardrobe time and since I've lost 46 pounds, none of my clothes fit, so it's been the perfect reason to go shopping!  I'm using part of my summer paycheck to buy the clothes I'll need for this fall and having so much fun doing it! 

Jogged, candy binge and still lost!

So 2 major things happened this week:

The Good:  Worked out everyday except Tuesday.  Even jogged some intervals early this week.  It was a lot easier to jog being 45 pounds lighter than last summer when I tried running. Lost my workout steam later in the week, but still did something most days.

The Bad:  Found an old recipe for moon cheese candy.  Figured out it was only 2 points.  Made a batch.  Ate a few pieces.

The Ugly:  Proceeded to eat many more pieces over the course of the next day until I finally threw the rest away!  20 points of junk!  Yuck.

Still, I lost 1.8# this week, so I'm sure the jogging saved me from myself and the candy later this week!

Only 1.6# to my 2nd 10%...it has flown by!  

My next goal:  177 by Sept. 30th

Yeah! Big Loss

Well, I feel much better this week after losing 3.4# this week!  Obviously, I just needed to hang in there and keep at the exercise and it paid off this week! 

My exercise this week was not as intense, but I feel okay about the workouts I did get in (I wasn't feeling well for a few days earlier this week). 

Fri - Walk 37 min 1.7 miles

Sat - none - out of town, traveling most of the day

Sun - Walk 33 min 1.8 miles

Mon - Stationary Bike 25 minutes 3 miles

Tues - Walk 20 min 1 mile

Wed - none

Well, that's it, hopefully I'll be feeling better this coming week and do a better job of exercising every day!

First gain!

Well, it was inevitable...I finally had a gain in my weight loss.  Only .8 pounds though! 

Last week, I vowed to workout at least 1/2 hour each day, and I did!  I'm sure that most of the .8 is just muscle from working out consistently again....better luck next week! 

Goals...continue working out daily...try mixing it up some with a dvd or two instead of all walking!   

Whew!

Well, I went to a day time weigh in today (instead of dinner time) and I was down 1.4#.  I'm sure daytime had something to do with it, but I am happy nonetheless. 

I did a terrible job of exercising this week. 

My new goal is to workout 6 days this week, cardio for at least 1/2 hour on those days.  I just need to set aside a time to do it! 

Next Goal:  177

Finally Official!!! 199.4#

Well, slowly but surely, when I weighed in tonight, a 1 pound loss this week put me under 200#!!  It's been at least 8 years, if not more since that has happened! 

This was my original goal that I set for myself to be below 200 by Aug. 30th, so I reached it a full 2 months early!  I need to learn to have more confidence in my ability to lose the weight!! 

My new goal....23 more pounds, 177# by the end of September!!!  22.4 pounds in 13 weeks. Very doable!  As long as I keep my butt active this summer and resist unhealthy bouts of major snacking!!
