Thoughts/Comments:  So ridiculously humid out there, I was struggling.  I don't know how on earth I can pull off this marathon thing at this point, given how much I was struggling...but I figure it's not fair to make any decisions on a humid day while running.  But this weekend, I need to hit 8 miles at minimum, and then just keep going up by 2 miles every weekend.  And even that is gonna be a stretch.  I'd appreciate your thoughts, fellow runners.  Am I crazy to think I could still run the marathon at this point?!

Don't know

I'm still working on the 5k thing....LOL!  But I know here in Memphis, it's been so hot and humid lately.  I struggle hugely!  Just for my little mileage.  Good luck, though!

You can do it

But I know what you mean about the humidity.  I was outside yesterday running around with my dog and also fell out.  The air was so thick.  It rained here last night so hopefully that will help a little bit.  Good Luck!!

10 weeks

I think you definitely have the time to build up to at least 20 miles once or twice within the next 10 weeks.  With biking and other cross training you'll get some endurance training without having to be on your feet so you can gain full strengh in your knee.  You can do it!  Todays struggle run is over, forget it and focus on a fresh start tomorrow.

You can!

You can do this.  And as you already know, the energy and atmosphere of a race is way more exciting and motivating than just a regular run, so you can always run farther.  You can build up your miles!
