Before After

tough to watch

Maybe you saw this last fall when it happened.  HS Cross Country in Ohio, where this girl, who'd had a sore leg for a few weeks, well it ended up breaking in several places right at the end of this race.  And she still finished the race.

Comments to this post:

OMG OUCH!

OUCH! Poor thing!!!! And she finished! Amazing.

WOw

I'm amazed at her courage to keep going, but what I mad at is that NO ONE stopped to help her or to see if she was ok, even after they finished the race

What tenacity!

I wouldn't have finished

I'm just saying.  LIke for real...your leg just broke, really...you can stop.

video

yeah, I saw a side view of that video a while back.  did you see when her leg initially broke then she tried getting up and running again then collapsed.  OUCH!!

Holy Crap!

That seriously brought tears to my eyes.  I complain about lots of things when I run, but I've never been that bad.  Maybe I should take a lesson from her!

wow

That video says more than can be expressed in words.  So I'm going to dry my eyes and leave it at that!  That image will stay with me forever.

sore leg?

I jsut went back and read where you said she had a sore leg and ran the race anyway?  oh, jeepers.  I credit her for finishing that race.  I can feel her determination.  I crave her determination.  And it terrifies me she that she started the race with an injury.  ouch!  that's insane.   but the image of her determination is still going to stay with me forever. lol.
