Thoughts/Comments:  Well I've learned enough in this running venture of mine to know that the first run after a break, self-imposed or just life getting in the way, pretty much sucks.  And this one was no different.  Legs felt like lead...walked twice.  Man!  One of the 10 commandments of running (um the ones that I'm making up starting today) is that "one bad run is simply one bad run, nothing more, nothing less."

Pretty hot out there too.  I wanted to run this morning, but that feat was impossible due to the diabolical Jada and Zoe, up from about 3:30am until 5:30am.  Don't ask.

Oh...and today officially marks my "marathon training" for the Chicago Marathon.  Woo hoo!

Comments to this post:

break

yeah, the first run does suck!  hope you get back onto your schedule, well I guess you have to for Chicago.  I've been slacking on the blogging, but you'll see me back soon!  Happy running!

Early Risers

Geez Lindy, the girls were up really early, but hey, you still managed to get your run in 84 degrees no less.

Be and do well....

Felecia (sunny and HOT here in Atlanta)

Gotta Love that AGE!

I miss that age my DD is almost 18....enjoy them!!!!!

I'm glad that you enjoyed your break! NOW get back out there and run IRON legs :-)

Tracy

By you ran it anyway!

Woo Hoo! That is a win. Like you said, some runs just suck but that doesn't mean they will all suck. Good on you for getting it done!
