Place: Lakefront, LSD @ Hayes (low 40's, sunny)
Mileage 4.14
Time It Took: 48:03
Pace: 11:36
Miles this week: 4.14
Miles this month: 33.69
2008 Goal: 347.38
Thoughts/Comments: It's been tough getting going this week, I had originally planned to try to get back on a regular schedule, but I just couldn't get myself going in the mornings...but I made up for it this morning. Sunrise was 5:35, so I left the house at about 5:25 and drove over to the lakefront. It was perfect out, sun just above the horizon, new tunes on the iPod including one of my all-time favorites "Lovely Day" by Bill Withers, thus the title of this post.
Still felt a little sluggish, but I guess that's to be expected when I haven't run much since the marathon. This is just the 2nd time. Next week's 10-mile race might not be all that fun, but we'll see.
I think I'm behind on my 1000 miles goal (I'm sure I am, but I don't want to calculate to see exactly how far). Once marathon training ramps up to those ridiculous long run weeks, I will make up for it, so I'm not too worried about it.
Have a great Friday, friends!
