Deep fried chicken
My girlfriend came over yesterday afternoon with her 2 sons. We took the kids out to play, so we missed our walk.
For dinner, i made deep fried chicken, boiled eggs in white sauce, green beans with butter and garlic and fried rice. It was tempting, but i resisted and just had the rice and beans without butter. Yay me! My girlfriend was impressed about how determined i am and she said look really good.....
She was in this with me but had gone off track in the last weeks, but she's starting again soon, hopefully.
We later played monopoly, the latest one with credit card..cool!
I'm still at 161 lbs, but i'm hoping this is not a plateau, like i had at the 170's and that i will see the 150's soon.
SW (1st September) 163.17 lbs
CW(10th September) 161.19 lbs
1.98 lbs gone, 5.02 to go.

Temptations, temptations
........as we came back home from our walk, we met the Pizza delivery man.....Da Vinci Pizza.....those Pizzas are YUM YUM YUM. They always say you shouldn't reward yourself with food, but i think when i reach 154 lbs (70kgs) i'll treat myself to one of those......salivating!!
Then for DH & the kids dinner, i made chicken, cheese wraps.....so hard to resist.....i had a bite, but just one...phew.
I think once i reach the famous 154 lbs (70kgs), i'll introduce a free day, when i can eat the stuff i miss. Do you have a free day?

Setting goals
has become very important to me, especially on this weight loss journey. If i don't set goals, i tend to get too cormfy.....and everyone knows where that leads to. This month i've set a goal to lose 7 lbs (3.2 kgs).
Today, i'm at 161.41 lbs (73.2 kgs). I was at 162.95 lbs (73.9 kgs) on the 1st of September, so i'm hoping the scale shows 155.95 lbs or less at WI on 30th September.....5.46 lbs to go.
To be continued...have to pick dd from daycare.
Ok, i'm back. Just had lunch----Bulgur with in olive oil fried turkey breast and carrots...delicious. Taking the kids to school in a little and later we go for our usual walking/biking.
Have a lovely day!

I had ice-cream
again yesterday, after a very long time, i didn't have any the whole summer.... just stuck to my smoothies made with frozen berries, with little milk, they turn out just like ice-cream. I ENJOYED every bite and didn't feel guilty afterwards since it just had 78 calories and 3% fat. For lunch i had made myself some of the millet i bought last week, with fried turkey and veggies....really good....yum.
I'm still at 161 lbs, hoping to reach 160 lbs at the end of the week and finally see the 150's next week. Hope you're all doing great. Happy losing!

Morning exercise, anyone love it?
The weather is still presenting itself from it's best side. We went for a our walk, but it was not as long as usual coz the kids wanted to play. Then, somewhere, somehow, i lost my pedometer.....
.
I loved it.....
Anyway, DH said he'll get me a new one.
I slowly need to switch from walking to my indoor exercising, now that Autumn is approaching......unless the weather gods decide to treat us with summer weather until end of October, like last year.....it was great, but we weren't expecting less after a cold/wet summer.
It's best when i do my elliptical workout in the morning, before the rest of the family is up.......and i usually feel great the whole day...........BUT that's one of my biggest struggle.....WAKE UP AND JUMP ONTO THAT ELLIPTICAL! Will i ever learn to love a.m exercise....sigh! Maybe, my walking dvds will give me the kick i need. Hope to get them soon.

Inspired by
my progress in the last months, i decided to start a Christmas challenge on two message boards that i frequent. I would like to lose 25 lbs by then. I've very pleased that so many have joined me. This time i feel it's for REAL and i'm very excited about it. So, hopefully, my next year's resolution will be maintain weight or only ......left to go.
September has been lovely, weatherwise and so today after school, we're going walking/biking.
Happy losing everybody..

Healthy pantry
Been busy cleaning up the house and packing/labelling school stuff this weekend. Put the kids to bed at 19:45 so it won't be too difficult to wake up at 7:00 tomorrow morning.
So, back to my title, i cleaned up and re-arranged the pantry yesterday and felt very proud, coz of all the healthy foods in there. We've got quinoa, a mix of red quinoa & bulgur, spelt grains, spelt pasta, brown rice, wholemeal pasta, millet, beans (black, kidney, white & green), lentils (brown, red & green).
At the beginning of my WL journey, i was practicing food combining and was eating mostly proteins and veggies. Then i decided to try more good carbohydrates. Since then, i've been experimenting with the above foods/grains....and i absolutely love them.
Now, off to bed myself.
Happy Labor Day to those in the U.S and Canada.....

Portion control
Yesterday, we got Turkish kebabs & fries for dinner. I ordered a full kebab, but decided NOT to eat the whole thing, so i gave 1/3 of it to DH and i didn't have fries or soda. Yay! I later looked up the calorie content---- 640 for 1 kebab, so i had around 426 calories. All things in moderation, is the key to reaching the goal weight and maintaining it? I'm learning....
Happy Loosing, everyone!
