good news and very bad news

The good news is that I lost another 2 something pounds over the weekend! Woo hoo! (And I cooked spaghetti squash for my parents this weekend, they really liked it, thanks Sarah!). AAAnnd I'm in some pants I couldn't fit into before! Also, I'm over halfway now on my first goal of 10%!

The bad news is I turned my apartment upside down last night looking for my passport, and I cannot find it anywhere. I'm praying that it's at home-home with my parents, and that they will find it today, other wise no cruise. Do no pass go, do not collect $200. I will die if that happens!

PLEASE passport! Show yourself!

Almost another pound lost! And that's sort of amazing considering Flo's in town and ate a 12" eggplant sub yesterday. To be fair, I barely ate anything yesterday since it was the big Graphic Communications Intern Employer Day. (It's so important, it's all caps)

The good news is I'M EMPLOYED! I get to merge my two loves, graphics and French for near an Engineer's salary. Life is good.

I'm on top of the world!

K, so I am so glad that I got that scale because it is very motivating, now that I know I have to face it. I lost another 2 lbs and that is so exciting! It just makes me want to be extra good! I think the reason for the recent 4lb drop is due to added vegetables. I've eaten a ridiculous amount of veggies lately, and I think that's really helping take it off!

Yay! Got a scale!

Last night I got a scale, since I haven't had one and I've been weighing myself in the late afternoons at the gym. It's hard to weigh yourself like that because a lot depends on what you're wearing, and how much you've eaten that day. I broke down and got a scale so my weigh-ins would be a bit more accurate.

I got a scale that tells you your fat percentage and your water levels...well, that was a bit scary. Apparently I'm close to half fat. Eww. And, I should probably drink a lot of water today bc I'm a little low. So far I've had 3 bottles.

Food:
Breakfast: Kashi cereal
Yoplait light yogurt

Snack: dried fruit ( I had to snack, I was in the most boring class ever for 4 hours)

Lunch: turkey sandwich with spincach, tomato, and mayo
V8 spicy
12 grapes
small spinach salad

Friday...praise the Lord

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, seems my days lately are packed full.

I'll just start with today:

Woke up, had enough time to make breakfast which consisted of:
Omlette with mushrooms
Spicy V8

Snack: Yoplait light yogurt

Lunch: a little bit of cottage cheese, squash and zucchini, green beans, 1/2 boiled egg, little bit of salad, half a chicken ceasar wrap (I know that sounds like a lot but it's at my school cafeteria and you can get as much as you want of anything you want, so I get smaller portions of a lot of things)

My new thing is, I'm going to try and eat things in a different order than I normally do. Normally I eat in order of most delicious to least delicious. Now I'm going to eat in the order of most nutricious to least. Then I will fill up on the good stuff first!

Update on food:
broke down and ate peanut butter and jam on 6 wheat saltines.
Cooking dinner as we speak, just exploded spaghetti squash in the microwave. Will eat remenants of that with blackened chicken. Oh, and I had a salad pre-explosion. That's about it.

Class on Saturday tomorrow. It's cruel and unusual punishment.

Hello all.

I've been much better today. I was inspired by Sarah's smoothie so I made a berry smoothie complete with protien/fiber powder. Got off to a good start. At a delicious sandwich on wheat bread today con ensalada. The only time I strayed was when I ate a handful of yogurt pretzels but I don't feel bad about it...I won't get to eat for an eternity, so I had to eat something.

Debating on whether to go home, cook chicken, and do the firm, or go to my Wednesday Bible study. Seems like I should be doing everything I can before the cruise....and American idol will be on. Hmm.

Hope everybody had a good day! Thanks for not abusing me mentally over yesterday, I only gained a pound, which is a miracle of God. Seriously.

Do not publically flog me

So...I've not been posting because I I'm avoiding writing what I'm about to write. I was SO BAD this weekend on vacation. SO BAD.

Here's a list of various foods that entered my mouth: japanese food, doughnut, cheetos, crackers, massive amounts of spaghetti, wine, bacon, eggs fried in bacon grease (don't judge me, I'm southern), white bread, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits, ham, green beans (ok, one good thing), cherry cobler, pop tart, half a hamburger, frosty, chicken nuggets, smore, and carmel chews.

The good news is that wasn't all at once, but spread out over 4 days. I haven't weighed in yet ( I don't have a scale ) but I'm going to the gym today so I'll find out soon enough.

I'm sure the diet gods are screaming as we speak!

Weighed in today, lost two pounds. It was brilliant. I will be MIA this weekend because I'm going to go tubing in les montagnes...I hope everyone has a good weekend!

I'll show that scale who's boss!

Ok, so I was a little down about the .5 gain, especially so early in the game, but I'm over it. I don't know what it was, whether I did something wrong, gained muscle, or was retaining some water, but whatev, I'm not going to worry about it, because if I keep doing what I'm doing it will have no choice but to come off.

I turned it around this morning and had eggs and yogurt for breakfast instead of my quick oatmeal. Hopefully the protein will help me start off better. No carbs at lunch today. I'm serious.

In other news, my armpits are soar from last nights class. Odd. Don't think I've ever felt that before!
