My friends list

So far

This will be short and sweet.  The good news is that I made it to the gym yesterday.  The bad news is I will not make it there today.  The really bad news is the reason why.  My son injured his knee at football camp.  He is getting ready for his senior year and he has started getting letters from recruiters.  If you read this, and are one that prays, please put him on your prayer list.

No Milk

Not much to report today.  So far, I have followed the eating plan.  I do need to get some other things such as yougurt and milk in the house.  My son finished the milk in the middle of the night so I had dry cereal for breakfast.  I'm glad that I made that choice instead of eggs.  Although the whites are more healthy, I like the whole egg and love to add cheese and/or butter.

I still have not built exercise into my routine, but I am hoping to go today before class.

Day One

So far, so good.  I went to my JC appointment, and I am still pumped.  Got my food and I was so glad they added a couple things.  (Part of my problem is I just got bored).  That is one thing I'll need to be aware of.  I'm not sure what my plans are for excercise yet, but I know I need to get it in.

Good luck to all of us.  We can do it one step at a time.

The Day Before I Begin

I have finally come to the conclusion that I need to get over the fact that I gained all 60 pounds that I lost back, and get back to work.

My excuse is that when I started my masters, I just didn't have time, but really, that is not true.  The truth is, I let my busy schedule to be an excuse for making bad choices.  I could have eaten differently, and could have fit in excercise, but I didn't.

My plan:  1)  Get back on JC and get my butt up to Curves.  I like both so this should not be that difficult, but taking the first step always is for me.

My Wish:  I wish my husband and I were as healthy and fit as we once were.  I would like to go on long bike rides, play tennis, etc and I can envision this.  Soon our kids will be out of the house and I want us to be able to enjoy a variety of activites.

Totally off topic:  Has anyone ever heard of a gym like Curves that is coed?
