Day 1 -New Blogger

Hello to anyone reading this!  I have never blogged before, but came across this website and it looks like a great place for support for this journey ahead of me.  I lost weight, 50 lbs after leaving my ex-husband when i was 34 and it was fairly easy.  Since that time I met my current boyfriend of 7 years and have gained almost all the weight back!  I have tried soooo many diets and excercise, but it seems as though once I hit 40, the fat just doesn't want to leave my body.  I know what to do to get it off, just need to keep motivated when the scale doesn't move, or actually goes up, even when I'm doing everything right!  i would love to hear from anyone who has been or is currently in my shoes.  Started today-

Welcome!

This is a great site for support! I'll be 42 next month. It does get harder as we age, but its still doable! I lost 44 pounds in 9 months and I'm still struggling with the last 10 . Just wanted to wish you the best of luck in reaching your goal! This is a great way to start!

Hello

I'm with you and Shelley, (which she is great by the way)  it does get harder as we get older.  I'm 36 and can tell a very big difference in the way I lose weight now.  BUT, it IS doable, and can be done.  I know you can do it.

Best of wishes reaching your goal.  Welcome to EP!

Hi there

And welcome to EP!  I find this site really helpful for keeping me on track - even if it's just being able to bore cyberspace rather than my hubby with my trials and tribulations!

I try to read others' blogs too for motivation, and to keep me away from the biscuit tin!

Good luck

in response to your email

You're welcome! I don't know if yo will receive this or not, especially in light of the new makeover at EP. I was featured in an article in Health Magazine, not on the cover! LOL No way would i ever do that! This was weird enough as it is. Kind of scary. I couldn't tell anyone until it hit the newstands, so it was my little secret. I had a blast going to the photo shoot!!  I just submitted an email with my story and they accepted it. Problem now is that once you've been featured in a nationally published magazine, no one else will publish my story. :(

I will come by your blog...like I said, I'm not sure if you will get this, so I'll paste it in a comment box. Hope all is well with you!!!
Shelley
