Before After

Stressed out about gaining this week!

I am completely stressed out about the fact that I lost too much weight last week and that I will post a gain this week.  Am I crazy or what?!!  Here is the kicker....it actually makes me more "hungry" and I'm wanting to eat more despite the fact that I'm freaked out about gaining this week.  What?!?

Why do I want to set myself up for failure like that?

Any advice?  I could really use some.

Don't think about it....

"If" you have a gain, it could be water, etc from the holiday if you had anything salty, etc.... don't let the mind games get to you.  Our minds do nasty things to us, especially right before/after weigh in.

Good luck with it!!

It's all in your head...

....the hunger, that is.  I guess anyway.  I don't really know because I'm not there.  LOL!  BUT, GCQ is right.  Don't think about it.  WI should really not be as stressful as we all make it.  You are going to be in Onederland soon.  I know that's exciting!  I'm getting there and will be right on your heels.  We are going to ROCK Onederland's world!

Fear not!

I have the same fears as you do about posting a gain after a big loss but the way my WW leader explained it was that it all evens out in the end. If you've been doing your exercise and not eating that bad and you gain it's probably just you retaining water from the sodium in your food and next week your weight will be back down. Meanwhile just drink a lot of water and keep doing what your are doing because from your stats you are doing just fine. As for being hungry for no reason I totally understand. I wrote a blog a couple weeks ago about the same thing. I think we figure once we have a big loss we (well, ME) tend to think that means we can eat a bit more. It's a two steps forwards, one step back thing but the only way to combat that is to not let your mind get the best of you.

I wish you the best of luck on your weigh in this week. I think you'll be just fine. :-)

No point...

... in stressing over it.  Easy to say, I know, but all you can do is your best.  You're doing great!

Don't sweat it!

I know what you mean though, when I gained a lb once I was so dissapointed I wanted to throw in the towel and say...You see I just can't do it. But then I thought if I keep giving up I will only gain the weight back and some and then some time later I will wind up on a diet again with more weight to lose.  So don't be dicouraged please its likely water weight and you will do better next week I promise!

I hear you!

When I see a gain on the scale I just want to go eat!!! Now, when I see a loss, I am totally motivated and don't to eat and screw it up! Crazy, yes!

Try my new crave control idea: drink 2 teaspoons of red wine vinegar (or apple cider) any time you *think* you are hungry or if you are having a craving. Wait about 10 minutes and you will have forgotten about it! I've been doing this all week and I'm swearing by it!

Good luck with your weigh in. You might be surprised at what you see!

Don't think about it.....

Don't try to think too much about it.  Try to take yourself away from all of this and go do something that you enjoy! Shopping always cheers me up: D or even do an activity that will keep you busy. Keep your mind preoccupid ......remember if you ate well and exercised then you have nothing to worry about. however, if you do gain, its only water! We women are soooo lucky (not) that we fluctuate up and down!  Try not to stress over it !

Sending you skinny vibes: D

Have a great weekend!!

water water water

The more you think about it and get yourself in a depression the more it will upset you and make you want to eat more.  Try to supress that by drinking water, water, water and if you're hungry try to munch on some carrotts or something healthy to help curb the appetite. You can do this!!! Keep strong hunny we are all here for you!

You are doing great

I am an emotional eater myself. No matter what emotion I am having even if it is depression or anxiety about my weight - I want to eat.

It happens - You are doing so great - I am so proud of your couch to 5K - its amazing.

Psych Out

Don't psych yourself out! This is a constant battle for me to. I keep expecting every pound I lose to come back out of nowhere. I don't know that we will ever be comfortable with our weightloss, but we just gotta try. You lost weight because you worked hard at it, and I know you can do it again! No matter what your weigh in looks like this week, you'll see the results eventually. Hang in there!
