Before After

60 Pounds, Whoa!

Well, I hit the 60 pound mark yesterday, so I guess that warrants a post here.  I tend to progressively downplay my accomplishments.  When I was at 40 pounds, I would look at the people at my forum who had lost 60 and think.....wow, when I get there, I'll think I've really accomplished something.  Now, at the 60 lb. mark, I find myself thinking......if I can just make it to 80, then I will have accomplished something.

Ok, Jo, stop this nonsense.  You have done an amazing thing.  Enjoy your success.  You have turned your life around with the help of a great program and you are on your way to a new and better lifestyle.  You have persevered while seeing others drop the ball and give up.  Don't downplay that!  I do believe it is something!! (as Dave Letterman would say)

There, that helped :)

Me, too...

Hi Jo,

Congratulation on the 60#!  You are right, it is an incredible accomplishment!  I understand how you feel, though...somethimes, even though we know we've done a good job it's just never enough because there's always so much more to do.

I don't know how much you have to lose, but look at it this way.  That number just went down by 60!  Don't know about you, but to me, needing to lose 80 lbs sure seems a heck of a lot easier thatn needing to lose 140, dontcha think?

Okay...didn't mean to give a lecture.

Keep up the good work!
