That's right, I'm nameing every day by the day it is of my journey. Of course, when January is over, I will probably forget what day I am on, and have to come up with some other kind of plan...hmmm...but for now, It's day three!

I got all my water in yesterday.

I went ahead and signed up for weight watchers....'cause like my friend Lesley said, "if we don't just jump in we arn't ever gonna even get our feet wet"

So, we jumped in, signed up and started yesterday. It's only a couple of days beofe I planned on starting, but every day counts.

I stayed within my points yesterday...and I packed my lunch today. I was called in to sub, and I had a nice tuna sandwich on wheat bread with a 100 calorie pack of cookies and  a yogurt. Yum.

funny funny funny sorta funny story.

Today when we were in lunch (I was subbing as a teacher in a Kindergarten class) the power went out. So, after lunch we went back to class and talked and sang and played games (word games) for about half and hour, and then we all get sent home early ... of course the teachers had to stay until end of day...but it was funny.  The kids were such a hoot. I was talking to them about what people used to do when they didn't have electricity, and they just kept saying "they should just turn the light on"

Anyhow, I thought it was funny.

So far today I am on target with my points. I have 13 left for dinner, that is alot since we are having fish and rice for dinner, yum.

Well, enough rambling, I have a headache, and i am going to go and lay down for a bit.

 

Day 2

 

 

Wow, Thanks so much for all the encouragement. I logged on this morning and there were notes from old friends and new friends.  Those notes were very encouraging, and help me to believe in myself even more.

Today is the boys days. My two little guys got gift cards for Toyr R Us and Barnes and Nobles, so we are headed downtown. I am not afraid though. Both of those places are by some of my most favorite places to eat....Olive Garden, Applebees, Chick Fill A ... etc. and so forth...However, I am eating before leaving, taking a healthy snack and coming home for lunch!

 This week my goal is to get back into the water habit. 70 oz. a day minimum. (i had read somewhere that if you were overweight you needed more water to help your body).

 I made goal yesterday. Yeah me.

Day 1

So, it's the first day of January 2008 ... the first day of a new year. And here I am...probably at my heaviest weight ever in my life.

In the last year I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, diabetes, a few other minor things and a major back problem.

Most of these things are able to be controled simply by my very own self choosing a healthy lifestyle. That lifestyle would enclude low fat, low sugar types of foods and daily exercise.

Yet, here I sit on my rather large backside, talking about it. I have been talking about it for months...maybe ever a whole year and a half now.

So, this is my year. I have decided that I am going to work my rather large butt off...with exercise and healthy choices. I am going to use weight watchers again, because that has worked for me in the past, and by the end of this year, I am gonna be sixty pounds lighter than I am now.

I know that if I stick with it and do my very best I will have results. Those results will allow me to be  a better wife and mother, sister and friend.
