Before After

Going going gone

Today is amazing? Why you ask? I went from 198 to 195 something in less than 3 days. Might be water weight but the numbers are motivating me even more.

Motivation

Today was great! I had my leftovers, alfredo ( THE WORSE THING FOR YOU), from this weekend. I like to give myself the weekends off. This actually helps me stay on track. I was feeling tired today and not motivated enough to go to the gym. I was laying in bed and realized I needed to push myself to go even though I didn't want to. I went, and now I feel awesome. There was no one at the gym which was even better. I always feel so empowered after a workout. I need to have more days like today.

I'm back....again

Oh my gosh! I get so mad at myself when I do this! I give up so easily when the pounds don't come off. Though this time, I am SUPER determined. I've gained weight, but, I've recently began going to the gym 5-6 times a week for about an hour each visit. Go me! I also got two of my very good friends going with me! I think they will keep me more motivated this time around. I truly am sick of the weight gain, nothing to wear, jealous of skinny people life. Here we go!

Great Day!

Hello ladies!
Today I was outside weeding, planting, picking, poking, lifting, hauling, pulling, pushing, throwing, carrying, holding, and sweating! I think that I may have burned a few calories =p I was outside working with my family from 11:00ish till about 5:30. I was also working on my tan. What was great about today was that I was so determined to sweat and burn cals that I was motivating my mom to keep going! She is also trying to lose weight and we were both sweating up a storm. I really want her to be losing as much as I want to lose.
I've only consumed about 730 calories so far today, so I am looking forward to a great dinner! I'm thinking of trying a recipe that a fellow extra pounder posted! I am so hungry and I just said to my dad "being healthy is hard". While it is hard right now, I know that it will get easier as I start to get used to this lifestyle. Well, off to the store to get what I need for dinner !

Bronchitis = No working out

So I tried going for a run the other day and all I ended up doing was hacking up a lung. Having bronchitis is really putting a damper on my workout schedule. I think today I will do some low impact workouts; I need to be doing some sort of physical activity, maybe some Wii Fit? The weather is also not helping. When will it get nicer out? It's rained here the past week. So pretty much as soon as I got home from school the nice weather went down the drains. I'd love to be outside doing something or even walking at the park, but the weather isn't letting me do those thing. Last night, I had my last "hoorah" as far as pigging out goes. I start my strict diet Monday. My boyfriend and I made homemade buffalo sauce and made some wings. While is was quite delicious, I don't think I'll miss those kind of foods. I'm ready for foods that will make me feel great and look great too! I've been reading YOU On A Diet by Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen. There are so many helpful tips in this book! From exercises to recipes, it's everything I need to keep on track. They have this nice little chart called the YOU Diet Activity Audit, which really help you put in to perspective how little or how much you need to do of a certain activity each day. Here's the chart!

What you need to do

Walking - 10 thousand steps accumulated throughout the day (30 minutes of continuous walking)
Muscular Strength- 30 minutes of resistance exercises a week
Cardiovascular Stamina- 80 % of your maximum heart rate for 20 minutes, 3 times a week.
Flexibility- 5 minutes a day

So really, thanks to Dr. Oz, you can see that you don't have to spend a massive amount of time to get a healthy dose of exercise in a week! This book really is awesome, and I got mine at Half Price Books for only $2.00. Yes that is a steal! It really is a helpful book jammed full of great information on losing weight the healthy way!

Losing weight is such a mind game, and I know we are all STRONG AND PROUD! So remember the next time you step on the scale and you don't see results use that as a positive motivation, not a discouraging let down! We have been stuck in these bodies long enough! It's time to fight back and win this battle! Be happy for who you are now and run with it!

Now for another great quote, because it seemed like most of you enjoyed the last one I posted!

AND IMAGINE
Recall the things that have held you back. And imagine how you now
can get beyond them.
Think of the problems that have frustrated you so. And imagine how
you can now rise above them.
Look at how far you've come. And imagine how far you can now go.
Think of all that you've learned. And imagine what you can now do
with that knowledge.
Consider all you've done in the past year. And imagine what you'll
now be able to do.
You're now in a better position than ever to imagine the very best.
And what you can imagine will lead to what you can be.

Chlorella and all of its wonders!

No, it's technically not for weight loss but it sounds awesome! Chlorella-spirulina is an algae found in the sea and it is great for your body. I got the pills today in the mail and they function somewhat as a vitamin. I found a great website here that tells you about all the benefits. If you don't want to go to that page to read about it, here are some of the highlights taken straight from the page!

Your immune system will be stronger if you take Chlorella because it is loaded with Chlorophyll, a substance that promotes T-cell activity and thus destroys viruses and bacteria.

Interferon (IFNs) production is stimulated by Chlorella. Interferon is an incredibly expensive cancer-fighter and natural health producer … if purchased. But you can encourage your body to product it naturally if you use Chlorella Spirulina and this natural defense fights parasites, tumors and viruses.

Your digestion will be drastically improved with lots of Chlorophyll-laden Chlorella which is full on enzymes that digest your food efficiently and thus fight against constipation and excess weight.

Chlorella combats infections and over growths of molds, etc., in the intestines because it promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria and flora. Most women today have had at least one go-round with Candida and enough Chlorella can deliver a knock-out punch to this miserable condition.

Want to be less ‘stinky’? Chlorella reduces all body odors and freshens the breath. The only thing I know that is better for breath-freshening is fresh, organic parsley.

Beauty foods? Look no further than Chlorella. It cleanses the major organs of the body that are related to glowing, vibrant skin: our blood, our liver and our intestines as already mentioned. And that is another benefit … the younger our organs, the younger our body.

If you have high blood pressure – or low blood pressure, consider Chlorella. It balances blood pressure, rather than acting in either one way or the other.

If you have a wound, know that Chlorella helps human tissue both to grow and repair itself.

A quote for all of you to read!!

Sometimes when we are searching for the perfect body or good health, we forget to LOVE who we are!!

Someone will always be prettier.
They will always be smarter.
Their house will be bigger.
They will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
And their husband will fix more things around the house.
So let it go,
and love you and your circumstances.
Think about it.
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.
And the most highly favored
Woman on your job may be unable to have children.
And the richest woman you know,
she's got the car, the house, the clothes....might be lonely.
And the word says if "I have not Love, I am nothing."
So, again, love you.
Love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say
"I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed!"
"Winners make things happen.
Losers let things happen."
"To the world you might be one person,
but to one person you just might be the world"

Those Darn Skinny People

Have you ever been sitting in class or walking through the mall and it seems like every one around you is skinny? Some times I just stare and wish and dream I had their body. Sometimes i play a game and try to find someone who I would love to switch bodies with. Creepy? Maybe, but I am just so envious!! They have no clue how lucky they are to be "skinny" (whatever that means anymore). They don't have to take as much time in the morning to pick out an outfit that wont make them look fatter than they already are. When they bend over they don't have to feel rolls of fat. They might not feel as self-conscious when they hit the gym. Now, I am not in any way blaming my body weight on anyone else but me and some of the medication I used to be on; however, there are some people who have just been blessed with beautiful bodies.

I was laying in bed last and around 3 am, an infomercial for Insanity came on. It seems to be similar to P90X, but it seems, well, more intense. I really want to try it! Have any of you used it? If so let me know. Also let me know about p90x and if you have used that too.

I also want to be healthy. I want to live a long, healthy life.

I'M BACK....AGAIN

So I wrote this whole long post, but when I went to submit it there was an error so here I am again writing stuff I already wrote =p

Anyways now that I am out of college for the summer, I am ready to go. College is a black hole of weight gain, for me anyways. I don't have time to go to the gym when I have research papers to write and exams to study for. But this summer, it will happen. I can feel it, and I know I am going to lose weight this summer. I want to go back to school an August and have people not recognize me or say wow! you look great! This will be the best summer ever.

So I need some feedback. I don't usually agree with using diet pills, but I need a boost of confidence to keep me going. Have any of you used Phenphedrine? If so give me some feedback on it. I'm thinking about trying it, but I need some real opinions on it. Also, I'm going to try Spirulina. It's a natural supplement. It's a green/blue algae that helps you to lose weight. So if you have had any experience with either of those, or have used something that has worked, let me know!

Anyways, I know with the support of  all you guys, I will do this. It is so important to me to look good and feel good.

Peace, Love, and Weight Loss.
We can do this together.
