Before After

I didn't fall off....

the face of the earth, and I am still on the wagon. But I have to admit there was a point in the last few weeks where I was only hanging on by one hand.  I have been absent on here for a few weeks.  I think I just needed a break from everything, and needed some time to get myself back together.  I didn't fall apart or anything.  However, I have thought of EP every day and all the friends I made here.  I felt like I had abandonded you all.

Since my break, I have continued my yoga, and love every min. of it that I get to do, and I try to do it daily.  However I don't walk as much lately. I was sick with a really bad head and chest cold so, I slacked off when that happened.  My weight is still right on target for my goal in May.  I didn't gain anything back since I was gone!!!! *that was the only plus*  I am finally down into the 220's.

However other things have gone south since I last blogged.  I have been batteling severe pain in the upper abdominal/ rib area for a few weeks and not feeling well.  I had suspected my gallbladder, and finally it hit my Monday, and literally dropped me to my knees.  Come to find out I have 5 stones in my gallbladder, along with gallbladder disease.  I don't have insurance, so of course they think there is no need to take it out right now.  So until I can figure out what to do I am trying to educate myself of the working of it and what and what not to do.  (ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT RIGHT NOW). Looks like the menu is very grim.  It turns out that my doctor says because I have lost sooooo much weight in a little amount of time, my body did not need the large amount of bile anymore and it has hardened and broken off to form stones.  Great!!!!  Not only that my husband has just been layed off from his job, due to the strain of the economy.

But I know we will be alright, and we will get through this. It's just really stressfull right now.

Anyways, I am fixing to catch up with some of your blogs.  I have really missed you all, and I hope that you are all doing well.

Lots of love,

Kami

Welcome Back - and - I'm Sorry, Too.

Hey, Kami.  It's so good to hear from you again.  I just hate that you've had so many things to deal with lately.

The problem of the gallstones sounds awful.  It sounds like TatumsMom gave you a good start to finding out more info on it.

I seems to me that a person with gallstones should have it taken care of right away.  I wonder if there's anything "natural" that you could take for it.  Maybe you could search for "hatural treatments for gallstones."  (or "alternative medicine treatments.")

I had a stone once (it was excruciating!) and had the gall bladder removed surgically -- but that was MANY years ago.  Don't they "blast" those stones away now?  If there's any way you can KEEP your gall bladder, I'd suggest doing it!!  God put those organs in there for a reason.

Maybe there's some agency that would take care of your doctor's bill if you had treatment.

You've got a lot of research to do, I'm sure.  I hope you find all the info you need.

I'm glad that you've done well with your weight since you took your break.  (I've been taking a lot of short breaks here lately, myself.)

Anyways, glad you're back, girl!!!

Later.

I'm so sorry!

I'm sorry you're having to deal with the gallstones as well.  It's so painful.  I can definitely attest to that.  There is lots of good information on webmd.com.  Also, if you google gallstones, you can get lots of information.  As for what to eat, well, just eat as bland as possible.  High fat food can really irritate it.  When I'm having a bad flair up, though, nothing matters.  It hurts no matter what.

Good luck when you go back to the doctor.  It will all work out.  Not sure how, but it always does, right?

Glad you haven't been gaining while you were away.

Oh Mi

Oh mi sweety...  HUGZ... times are tough for alot of us right now.  I'm sooo sorry to hear about your gallstones and the pain that it is causing you.  Have you thought about looking into your state for medicle coverage assistance?  I don't know if your state offers anything, but up here in CT we have something called the Husky plan for people who don't make that much money.  My sister and her baby are on it.  granted you can only see state specific doctors... but it helps $$$ wise.

I hope things get better for you soon   HUGGGGZ

I don't have

any thoughts or advise....
