It pays....
to track your food and exercise! i'm already back down to 180.6 today!
Tatumsmom was right -- no plateau! I had just been eating a tad too much.
I added good fats to all my meals yesterday and I swear I stayed fuller longer. So I'm believing what I read about MUFAs! Give it a try.

page tracker work?
I noticed I have comments on my blogs, but my page counter has not changed! It should. Does your counter work?

Great DVD
I needed to do strength training today so I tried out a new video, Trainer's Edge! It was awesome. it was hard. It felt GREAT!! It's with Jeffrey Scott, in case any of you want to look it up. The only thing I didn't care for are the push-ups. Those kill my wrists, even if I use hand weights to put my hands on versus right on the floor. I can't do them.

Plugging away
I'm still here and doing great!! It's just that my new laptop has a touchy touchpad, and I type a post and then somehow hit the touchpad with the palm of my hand and poof, I'm on another screen, and the post is GONE!
So I'm actually typing this on my old laptop
But next time I plan on typing it in Word and then copying and pasting.
So my weight is up to 181.6 this morning. It was 183 this weekend. Argh! But my body fat is down to 30.4% and my big goal for the next couple weeks is to get that body fat down below 30%
I've been reading a lot about MUFAs and so I am not doing the flat belly diet per se, but I did sign up for it for free for three months so that i could get an idea of the menu plan cause it really seems to work. So I am trying to add those to my diet daily because it's good for my body and my heart and if I can lower my cholesterol and lose visceral belly fat all at the same time, big thumbs up
I've been working out pretty much every day. I feel thinner. I have to shop for jeans this weekend and am really hoping to be able to buy a size 12!!! We'll see. But we're going to San Diego next week and the highs there are in the low 70s --YAY!!! -- so I need jeans for our trip.
I feel good and I feel strong and feel thinner, even if the scale isn't being very nice!
I hope you have a fantastic day!!

Stuck Damn It!!
I am stuck at 180. Shit! I was stuck at 190 F-O-R-E-V-E-R!! I have been 180 or thereabouts for a few weeks now. I know I've become a tad lax with my nutrition and then get upset I'm stuck and eat more. Doh! I know better. Bad habits die hard.
I worked out hard yesterday and had just under 20,000 steps for the whole day. I did Jillian Michaels kickboxing and while it's short -- 22 minutes or so -- it was a challenge. I felt great that I could keep up. My fitness level is definitely improving. I also did another video cause 22 minutes wasn't enough, so a total of 50 minutes.
This morning I started a circuit video and just didn't like it so then I did the Crunch Bootcamp video and that's a lot of fun! Then I figured to help me bust through this little plateau I have going on, I'd do more exercise! So at damn near 9 pm, I did a cardio dance video that was 42 minutes! Super fun and the time flew by.
I'll give it a couple weeks of working out harder and eating better and I had better see results in clothes fitting better or something or I'll go crazy!

Biggest Loser
I watched The Biggest Loser for the first time this past weekend. It must have been a repeat from the first show of the season, I'm guessing. Wow, they work hard! It makes me wonder what they eat to lose 10 pounds in a week.
I really want to step up my exercise and nutrition to lose the rest of this weight. If I have to work out an hour or more a day, I'll do it. I'm done being fat. I wish I had a trainer like the show provides to get off these last 30 or so pounds.
I'm going to do some online research and see what I can come up with. I would love any input you have! If I work out 2 hours a day, I need to know what to eat to be sure I'm losing fat and not muscle. Know what I mean?
I read an article recently on a study of people who dieted alone using WW and those who dieted and exercised. Those who dieted alone lost more pounds but their body fat percentage increased or stayed the same. Those who exercised and dieted lost less in pounds on the scale but their body fat went down. That's where it counts!

Wake up!!
I have been overeating again!! And it's not even like I'm really overeating with junk food. It's stupid stuff like a couple handfuls of Froot Loops or an extra serving of my granola cereal or I go over by eating an ounce of almonds every day. But it's making me feel sluggish and tired so it's time to go back to my healthier ways!
It's not even about a number on the scale. I am up a couple pounds which is annoying cause I am eating the same amount per day to maintain my weight, and yet I gain. Go figure. But it's more about how I feel and how I need to treat my body.
I have high cholesterol. I have excess belly fat. I could have a heart attack or a stroke. If I don't get these things in line, then I could be headed down a bad path.
Turning the boat around here. I ate great yesterday and felt so much better. I'm feeding my body what it needs
I could use some advice on how to get in more protein, though. Anyone?

Pixie Dust
Sure wish I could just sprinkle some pixie dust on me and my body would transform into what I want. Wouldn't that be awesome!!
Nah, I'm just teasing. I enjoy working hard to see changes in my body. I love exercise. My friend Jen hates it. She does it just because it's necessary for her not to gain weight cause she wants to be able to eat! She lives to eat. She doesn't eat to live
I started tracking this week my exercise I do. I really want to see some dramatic changes. I am tired of being fat! I'm sick of it. I know I've removed 45 pounds and I am very happy about that but I want to remove lots more and it seems to be just slow-going.
My MIL is coming in two weeks and 3 days. Last time she was here in May, I was 200 pounds. I am now 180. I want to be 175!! And fitting more comfortably in a 12. I guess I need to buy some 12 capris to keep trying on each week. My 14s are huge on me but they're so comfy. I don't want to be too comfy in them, though
and not push myself harder to get into a 12. Make sense? time to get rid of those 14s so I have NO CHOICE but to fit into a 12.
I am confident I will be in a size 10 by Christmas. I'm pushing the weights hard. I feel I need to go harder with them and am contemplating joining the gym again. I'm not sure I'm ready to go that route again. Maybe I'll invest in more weights for at-home use.
Y'all have a great Friday!!
UPDATE!: After I closed this window and posted this, I checked my email and I got an email from LA Fitness offering me a free gift if I sign up again. How ironic is that!!

Measuring loss
In the past 5 weeks I've only gone down 4 pounds. What's that all about!! Seriously, I need to get my ass in gear. That's just pathetic!
But on the other hand, I'm down in inches and that's what really matters. Right?
- .5 inches chest
- .5 inches waist
- 1 inch hips
- .75 inches thigh
- arm same
So I can sit and whine about only going down 4 pounds OR I can celebrate that I've removed inches of fat and blubber!!
I'll celebrate and be happy with how far I've come. No need dwelling on me slacking.
But it's time to get in gear and reach the next level.

Same game
Not really a game, per se. I maintained the past two weeks. Blech. I am still motivated. i just haven't been feeling well enough to kick ass with my workouts like I usually do.
I'm headed out of town tomorrow morning for a court reporting convention, but I'll be back Sunday to check in on everyone! I want to hear about some positive changes! Got it?!?!
At least I have mastered the art of maintaining, heh, so all is not lost. Many say it's easier to lose than it is to maintain. Well, I can do both, so what do you say to that!!
